Adrian Peterson, the running back for the Minnesota Vikings was arrested last night in Houston. Arrested for resisting arrest means he was already being arrested for something else. It is the chicken and the egg of legal troubles.
Update: Pro Football Talk is reporting the entire incident was caught on camera. Apparently, Peterson, his girlfriend and some family members were at a club at closing time. Now for the beautiful part…
Peterson wanted to get some water before he left, but an officer told Peterson that he needed to leave. Some words apparently were exchanged, but Peterson eventually walked to the exit with one of the club’s bouncers.
It’s believed that one of the officers then jumped on Peterson’s back from behind and tried to take him down. (Key word: “tried.”) Other officers then joined the fray and completed the arrest.
Can’t wait for this video.
Update #2: According to ABC’s Houston affiliate, Peterson allegedly shoved an off-duty police officer.

Isn’t Houston known as the Strip Club Capitol of the World?

Tampa.
It’s like 250 degrees in Houston right now. People are losing their minds apparently.

Bayou Place is downtown, nowhere near the strip clubs, where he should have been.

July 7th, 2012 at 2:46 PM
they all need to be fired according to the wonderful drew sharp.
realistically, Leshore and Fairley are facing suspensions.
Luckily, none of the Lions knuckleheads are superstars.

Read today that Fairley calls himself a “great guy”. He was also blowed out when he said it.

Sketchy details. I’m curious what’s missing between walking to the exit with a bouncer and having a cop jump on his back..

One drunk cop saying to another drunk cop, “Hey, you know who that is?”

I once caught a charge of resisting arrest and punching a cop in the face and sending him to the hospital with 6 other cops standing right there. For those charges, I received 300 hours of community service and the charges expunged from my record with 1 year of good conduct.
/the cop was drunk
// he slipped on the ice
/// cops lie
//// the DA backs them up

so they dropped the possession charges?
July 7th, 2012 at 8:48 PM
Granted the tape could tell a lot, but this sounds like a B.S. arrest
July 7th, 2012 at 10:17 PM
LOL. A clean record and nothing on me probably helped save me against even those flimsy charges.

You mean your record didnt state “contrarian”?
