Jason Kidd to the Knicks! Mavericks Spurned by 39-year-old Point Guard
Jason Kidd was going to Brooklyn with Deron Williams, then he wasn’t. So then everyone figured Kidd was going to return to Dallas to play with Dirk Nowitzki and end his career.
Nope.
Jason Kidd is going to … the Knicks! Marc Stein of ESPN is reporting that Kidd had a last-minute change of heart and will return to the Big Apple to end his career. Kidd previously was ballin’ in New York – playing for the Nets; he took them to the NBA Finals – and now he’ll presumably back up Jeremy Lin … assuming the Knicks match whatever offer the Rockets made.
As for Dallas … yikes. One year ago at this time, they had just won a title. Then Tyson Chandler left. Then they were bounced in the first round – swept, actually – by Oklahoma City. Bill Simmons said they were going to get Deron Williams … didn’t happen. What about Dwight Howard? Dallas doesn’t appear to be in the picture. Now they’ve lost Jason Terry and Jason Kidd.
Gonna be a long year for Mark Cuban. Lottery-bound, baby!

I thought Cuban was building a state-of-the-art organization, player-friendly and first-class. What’s the story behind the story in Dallas?
If Broussard wasn’t in the Caribbean, I’d ask him to get on the case.

Will fit right in with the Knicks. All they need is the return of Isiah Thomas to return and they can have fun harrassing employees again.

So is there like a Highlander thing going between him and Steve Nash?

Kyle Lowry traded to the Raptors.

Jason Kidd is 5 years older than Mike Bibby.

Rockets are tanking early.

so now do the Rockets get Dimsum?

can’t wait for the Knicks to not match the offer so that Kidd is their starter and not their backup.

Did I lose my mind during May or didn’t the Thunder’s guards torch the hell out of Terry and Kidd during their series? Why would Dallas want them back?
I’m more surprised they couldn’t work a S&T and get Shumpert or Lin.

Gods idea to have a volume shooter tutored by a guy who can’t shoot.

Gods idea to think that the skillset a team would bring in Jason Kidd for is shooting.

I’m sure you understand the geography itself, but don’t tell a New Yorker that Jersey is basically the same thing as NYC.

Yeah, sure, that ass hole is going to be some great tutor. In the mold of Farve tutoring other players, just sit over there and watch my greatness and dont ever speak to me.

The Knicks have their backup, now they need a starting PG.

Yeah, sure, that ass hole…
So, ass hole is a hole full of asses like ass hat is a nice lid for your ass? You’re are right though; a hole full of asses couldn’t tutor shit.

If they get to use the term “flyover country”, we get to use this term. Oh and also shithole.

Knicks have a solid roster on paper, but Carmelo as the leader and Potato Head Woodson as the coach never goes according to plan.

Thank you for the link. I have the magazine on my kitchen table and I didn’t read the story until now. I love these kinds of stories.

That is some solid analysis right there. I’ll rank that up with Wilt and Russell’s careers not being legit all time because they played against 6’2″ centers.
July 5th, 2012 at 7:10 PM
Nobody wants Ray Felton. Fat people need love too.
July 5th, 2012 at 7:32 PM
That roster isn’t solid on whatever material used for writing
