Eric Wright, Tampa Bay Cornerback, Arrested On Felony DUI Charges In Los Angeles

Eric Wright, a cornerback with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, was arrested earlier this morning on suspicion of felony DUI after an injury accident near the Staples Center in Los Angeles. Wright was a former USC player who transferred to UNLV after off the field problems at the University, including a rape allegation.

Well, at least you can’t blame the Detroit Lions about the latest DUI arrest for a NFL player. What’s that, Eric Wright played for Detroit last year before signing with Tampa? See, it’s just like Seven Degrees of Kevin Bacon. All arrests this offseason eventually lead back to Detroit.

I’m now bitter about Wright sullying the name of Eric Wright in the NFL. He can’t hold the jock of former 49ers and Missouri cornerback Eric Wright from the 1980′s.

Lisk, this guy has been sullying your boy’s name for a while.

The former USC starter transferred to the University of Nevada Las Vegas in 2005 amid possible disciplinary action by the school after an arrest on suspicion of rape. Police said they later found 136 Ecstasy pills in his apartment.

Charges were dropped.

I don’t hate my 2nd favorite team in the least, but making fun of the numerous weed/alcohol arrests coming from the Lions this offseason does not a hater make.

also, im pretty sure i’ve played call of duty with eric wright…i mean, there couldn’t be a poor soul out there that’s such a huge eric wright fan he’d make his COD screen name an homage, could there be?
