Mike Trout’s Home Run-Robbing Catch Was a Thing of Beauty
Just an incredible grab by the impressive 20-year-old rookie. Kind of reminds me of the baseball blooper reel in Naked Gun where the player makes a similar attempt at a catch only to see his head going rolling over the outfield wall.
To go along with the absurd glove work, Mike Trout has 22 extra-base hits, 19 stolen bases, and 39 runs scored in his first 47 games in the major leagues. The rookie of the year award is already resting comfortably next to his lava lamp.

He even threw in several Ashley Schaeffer “woo’s” for good measure.

Great catch, hell of a play. What I want to know is, how long before MLB.com takes down this video?

Trout’s 20 yrs. old, 21 in August. These are facts you must know to be an inaugural member of his fan club.

Things that happened. Right after his call-up a guy traded Mike Trout for Jason Hammel in my AL-only league. Keeper league.

What was his vertical on that leap?
At least 40″. He was running though.
I guess “trouts” are known for leaping.
