Jared Sullinger Drafted 21st by the Boston Celtics, Perry Jones Falls to Oklahoma City 28th
Jared Sullinger, the Ohio State star who would have been a Top six pick if he had entered the draft after his freshman year, fell all the way to Boston at 21. The free-fall for Sullinger was brutal, but the good news is that he’ll go to a playoff team, be paired with an elite point guard (Rondo), and two Hall of Famers (Pierce, Garnett). Sullinger will have plenty of opportunities to contribute.
22. Boston, Fab Melo
23. Atlanta, John Jenkins
24. Dallas (via Cleveland), Jared Cunningham
25. Memphis, Tony Wroten
26. Indiana, Miles Plumlee
27. Philadelphia (via Miami), Arnett Moultrie
28. Oklahoma City, Perry Jones
Interesting fall for Jones. He’ll get to go against Kevin Durant daily in practice. Very great landing spot for Jones. No pressure in OKC.
29. Chicago, Marquis Teague
30. Golden State, Festus Ezeli

If sullinger is healthy, i agree. I do think sullinger, melo, and Kris Joseph can be better bench guys than some of the guys they drafted last year or signed off the scrap heap

Agreed. Productive, tough players who can defend. Heats weakness is size, so go big.

Sullinger is one of the worst defensive players in the draft.

I’ve concluded that Waiters is the non-criminal (for now) version of JR Rider.

Festus is an underused name.

Not surprised by this at all …
Crowell was charged by ACC Police on a felony count of weapon in a school zone, a felony count of altered ID mark and misdemeanor count of possession/carrying a concealed weapon.
Georgia running back Crowell arrested on weapons charges
re-marking a weapon is a bad, bad thing …

Lets see what Jones can do when he reports for summer league. The rookies really got cheated lasted summer with the lockout. The summer league gives them the first chance to display their work ethic and skills with NBA talent. Durant and Westbrook will be busy with the Olympics and unable to workout with the rookies this summer though.
