Cleveland Cavaliers NBA Draft Stunner: Dion Waiters 4th Overall
Cleveland with the NBA Draft’s first major surprise – the Cavaliers just took Syracuse guard Dion Waiters 4th overall.
What a meteoric rise for Waiters, who wasn’t even a starter at Syracuse last season – he did get starter minutes – and didn’t even win the Big East Player of the Year award (if you follow this site, you know he had my vote).
Waiters is a terrific scorer, but there is some concern on my end about whether or not his one-year explosion was deceptive. Remember how good Wes Johnson was a couple years ago? He’s struggling big-time in Minnesota.
4. Cleveland, Dion Waiters
5. Sacramento, Thomas Robinson
6. Portland, Damian Lillard
7. Golden State, Harrison Barnes

Wesley johnson was never as aggressive as Waiters was in college. Waiters’ defense also improved a lot last year so this is a really good pick for Cleveland.
