ESPN the Magazine’s infamous Body Issue comes out July 13, invading the mailbox of those who truly just wanted to read Buster Olney’s column online. Reviving the desexualized athletic male nude genre has been bold and daring. Not sure that is the same as “pleasant” or “understanding your target audience.”

“The Mag” unveiled the list of torsos and well carved legs you will be seeing. Some of the notable men include Gronk, Tyson Chandler, Maurice Jones-Drew, Jose Bautista and Carlos Bocanegra. The women: Candace Parker, Abby Wambach and seven members of the U.S. volleyball team, court not beach.

Presumably, Albert Pujols and Kevin Youkilis had prior engagements.
