Photo Finish Leaves USA Women’s 100m Olympic Place in Question
U.S. sprinters Jeneba Tarmoh and Allyson Felix finished in a dead heat in U.S. Olympic Trials for the third and final place in the 100m in London. The pair finished at exactly 11.068 seconds. Even the high resolution photo finish proved inconclusive. To complicate matters, there is no tiebreaker in place for a dead heat that decides an Olympic place.
The two sprinters, who share a coach, cannot rerun the race as they are both training for the 200m trials. It could be more than a week before U.S. officials can even decide how to resolve the matter.

Felix is better at the 200m. I bet they wait, and if she quals well in that event, give the 100m spot to Tarmoh.

Ha. Luckily even though I live in a low area, my house is actually at a good flood elevation. I did just hear on the radio that the road I just drove through by my house is now flooded.
