I don’t actually think Bourque is a pussy. I just think it’s funny that in one sport a guy can be universally loved for leaving a team to win a championship at the end of his career and another guy in another sport is a quitter and taking the easy route by leaving a historically losing franchise in the prime of his career for what – a point nobody could argue – would be a much better shot at winning.

I don’t think he was being a dick by retiring the first time. I do think that by definition he quit on his team and teammates, which was in his right, and was a much bigger decision than Lebron saying fuck it this series is over and taking a game off.
