OMG!!!!
June 22nd, 2012 at 11:05 AM
Bath salts are a helluva drug.
June 22nd, 2012 at 11:07 AM
Who the fuck is 2 chainz? He ends his name with a z so he seems like he’s gotta be a guy to root for.
June 22nd, 2012 at 11:07 AM
That video is my personal hell.
June 22nd, 2012 at 11:12 AM
So the people are there because it’s fun? There are so many things I don’t understand.
June 22nd, 2012 at 11:13 AM
I’m confused.
June 22nd, 2012 at 11:17 AM
Needs shirtless Gronkowski to be complete.
June 22nd, 2012 at 11:22 AM
S.mouse > whoever that is in the video above
June 22nd, 2012 at 11:27 AM
Good for LeBron. Got his ring and acted the obligatory clown afterwards. I hope he strings together a few titles now, but haters will continue to hate…
June 22nd, 2012 at 11:40 AM
Can’t watch the video at work, but anything exceptional to note?
June 22nd, 2012 at 11:42 AM
He was doing Miami club style karaoke I think. I don’t know, I made it through about 20 seconds.
June 22nd, 2012 at 11:42 AM
Still a rusty nail-studded douchebag? You betcha.
It was a journey for myself,” said James, who became the 10th player — and first since San Antonio’s Tim Duncan in 2003 — to win regular season and Finals MVP. “All the ups and downs, everything that came along with it, I had to basically figure it out on my own. I’m happy now nine years later since I’ve been drafted that I can finally say that I’m a champion, and I did it the right way. I didn’t shortcut anything. I put a lot of hard work and dedication in it, and hard work pays off. It’s a great moment for myself.”
June 22nd, 2012 at 11:42 AM
I don’t understand how anyone has the energy to fight either side of the Lebron argument anymore. I would much rather draw a line in the sand and defend the honor of mint chocolate chip ice cream.
June 22nd, 2012 at 11:43 AM
I hope he strings together a few titles now, but haters will continue to hate…
and nut jostlers will continue to jostle.
June 22nd, 2012 at 11:45 AM
LMFAO GO DIAF
say hi to Barenaked Ladies when you get to music hell
June 22nd, 2012 at 11:45 AM
I’m sure of it…. I HATE HIM
June 22nd, 2012 at 11:46 AM
That’s hilarious.
/ oh wait…he;s serious
June 22nd, 2012 at 11:48 AM
If playing for the team that drafted you is the only way to avoid the shortcut label does that mean Kobe refusing to be a Hornet mean he didn’t want to work for it either?
June 22nd, 2012 at 11:50 AM
he’s a family man now, and a champion with more likely to come. he is a priduct of his upbringing and coddlesome nature of star-raising, and the albatross of being at the center of everything NBA. his biggest faults are The Decision and choking/shirking leadership actions
he has never been in trouble legally. i have no problem with him
June 22nd, 2012 at 11:54 AM
It would be intellectually honest to post the question that illicited this response. It is foolish to think that this championship isn’t about LeBron, just as Elway’s, Shaq’s, or Jordan’s first ring wasn’t about them.
June 22nd, 2012 at 11:56 AM
Its not that.
I’ll always consider going to Miami “the easy way out” because in 2010, D-Wade and Lebron were among the 3 best players in the league. Plus they got Chris Bosh in on it as well (Top 20 player in 2010, maybe higher)
HOWEVER, yes, it has played out differently (i.e – Wade’s suckiness) and has been a longer process than anyone expected…but I wouldn’t say it was as difficult as say, Dirk winning a ring, or Kobe winning a ring in 09 after the Lakers rebuilt with the Shaq trade.
The only reason Lebron is humbled about winning is because of how he and Wade got their asses handed to them after chest thumping and acting as if they won the ring in Game 2 of last year’s Finals.
Keep in mind that I have a new level of respect for Lebron and was impressed by him during this postseason. I think he’s had to work to win this ring and he deserves it, obviously…however, he still took an easier path to it than other stars have.
/ long winded
June 22nd, 2012 at 11:57 AM
Yes, and shaq took two shortcuts in his career. Ray Allen, KG shortcuts. Juwon Howard – shortcut.
June 22nd, 2012 at 11:57 AM
Imagine if LeBron referred to his teammates as his “supporting cast” like someone else did after they won their first ring against the Lakers in 1991. Get a grip people.
June 22nd, 2012 at 11:57 AM
To YYSA,
Mint chocolate chip ice cream sucks.
That is all
June 22nd, 2012 at 11:58 AM
Imagine the hate if LeBron had been as bad in the Finals as Elway was in that Super Bowl, yet no one gave a shit about Elway’s performance
In summation, fuck John Elway
June 22nd, 2012 at 12:00 PM
Hell, imagine if LeBron went 6-24 last night and still won MVP.
June 22nd, 2012 at 12:00 PM
That was being honest. Lebron? Not so much.
June 22nd, 2012 at 12:01 PM
and nut jostlers will continue to jostle.
Salty…yum.
The guy is unlikeable, says stupid shit, and thinks highly of himself. I get all that and agree with it. The love, though, that Westbrook and Durant and many other opposing players gave him after the game last night was telling. Let me edge out on a limb here and say those guys know him a wee biy better than the douchebags that spend most of their waking hours on this site blowing everyone up and talking about Call Of Duty 13.
Nada – Cali greens are nice yeah? Heading out to play Sandpiper shortly, with a nice quarter of crystally, yummy, sticky herbie the love bug. Work/TBL posts are for suckas!
June 22nd, 2012 at 12:01 PM
The Lakers had Eddie Jones and NVExel, hardly top 20 in the league. Ray/KG/Pierce got together via trade.
June 22nd, 2012 at 12:01 PM
defend the honor of mint chocolate chip ice cream
Mint chocolate chip ice cream is green sometimes and white sometimes … just no consistency in his game.
June 22nd, 2012 at 12:02 PM
Imagine if LeBron referred to his teammates as his “supporting cast” like someone else did after they won their first ring against the Lakers in 1991. Get a grip people.
imagine if that certain someone in 91 else quit on his team multiple times like the dude from last night did.
grip, accomplished.
June 22nd, 2012 at 12:02 PM
Mint Oreo ice cream – best ice cream ever?
June 22nd, 2012 at 12:03 PM
reading George will’s men at work, just found out that before 1870, runners could be tagged out if they overran first base in straight line. that would slow you down a bit. would be cool to reverse it, and have the other bases ok to overrun but not first.
we could do this all day, pick some rules of favorite sports that would be fun/interesting to change
or not
June 22nd, 2012 at 12:03 PM
Yes and Lebron and Chris bosh were both traded to Miami.
June 22nd, 2012 at 12:04 PM
The Finals MVP takes into account all the games, not just one game.
June 22nd, 2012 at 12:04 PM
LeBron is a winner.
June 22nd, 2012 at 12:04 PM
Mint Oreo ice cream – best ice cream ever?
for pedophiles sure
June 22nd, 2012 at 12:04 PM
Let me edge out on a limb here and say those guys know him a wee biy better than the douchebags that spend most of their waking hours on this site blowing everyone up and talking about Call Of Duty 13.
i dont play COD 13, and i dont like lbj. just like some people love him. why does it matter if people dont like him?
June 22nd, 2012 at 12:04 PM
we could do this all day, pick some rules of favorite sports that would be fun/interesting to change
or not
definitely not.
June 22nd, 2012 at 12:05 PM
Thats just….like….your opinion man.
June 22nd, 2012 at 12:05 PM
Murder of his father or not, Jordan retiring and playing baseball was more quitting on his teammates than Lebron could ever accomplish, don’t really see how anyone could argue with that.
June 22nd, 2012 at 12:06 PM
LeBron historically taking more heat for breaking up the Cleveland Cavalier juggernaut than Shaq took for breaking up an Orlando Magic squad that was a higher level OKC at that point is one of those things that illustrates the bandwagon of hate this whole thing has been.
June 22nd, 2012 at 12:08 PM
definitely not.
notters gonna not
June 22nd, 2012 at 12:08 PM
…and while I finish packing what will be my first of many pipeloads today here in beautiful Santa Barbara, let me pound the (Thrifty’s) ice cream gavel. Chocolate Malted Crunch >>>>>>>>>> Mint Chocolate Chip.
June 22nd, 2012 at 12:10 PM
What are you 80?
June 22nd, 2012 at 12:10 PM
Observation- the people that back lebron are obsessed with the people that dont like him, almost like trying to convert. the people that dont like lbj dont seem to care what the lovers think.
just an observation.
June 22nd, 2012 at 12:11 PM
The love, though, that Westbrook and Durant and many other opposing players gave him after the game last night was telling.
Telling of what? They all work for the same franchise? They run in the same circles? What?
Durant is infinitely more likable than James. My opinion based on action, attitude and presentation, not on court performance.
June 22nd, 2012 at 12:11 PM
Jordan retiring and playing baseball was more quitting on his teammates than Lebron could ever accomplish, don’t really see how anyone could argue with that.
need to know when you stop living your life for others and start living it for yourself…what if he’d have been awesome at baseball, a la bo or deion? it wasn’t quitting on anyone, it was doing what he wanted to do
don’t you?
/team selfish
June 22nd, 2012 at 12:13 PM
They both wear hipster glasses, neither is better than the other
June 22nd, 2012 at 12:13 PM
Durant is an obnoxious bible thumper.
June 22nd, 2012 at 12:14 PM
I’m not making a value judgment on it. He quit. So did Barry Sanders. So did Mario Lemieux. They all had perfectly legitimate reasons. To quit.
June 22nd, 2012 at 12:16 PM
who says they all run in the same circles?
June 22nd, 2012 at 12:16 PM
you said he quit on his teammates. not just quit. that’s implying a negative
June 22nd, 2012 at 12:16 PM
obnoxious bible thumper >>> narcissistic, video-confiscating, flopper
June 22nd, 2012 at 12:16 PM
now you’re just being a real asshole. Almost grade A LeBron assholish.
June 22nd, 2012 at 12:17 PM
They both wear hipster glasses, neither is better than the other
brooks wears them after games too, not during…do his have lenses?
June 22nd, 2012 at 12:17 PM
Observation- the people that back lebron are obsessed with the people that dont like him, almost like trying to convert. the people that dont like lbj dont seem to care what the lovers think.
just an observation.
A shitty observation at that. Seems the opposite. No converting here. I was pulling for KD and the Thunder myself. My point is guys that know him, play against him, interact with him, spend time with him. They may have a more accurate take on him as a person than you and I who solely know him through this magical, all-knowing lense called the media. Now go back to Faux News my friend. You may miss something reaaalllly fair, balanced, and factual!
Too stoned to fly with some of you turkeys anymore. Tee time on the ocean, bitches.
June 22nd, 2012 at 12:18 PM
that is the definition of selfishness
June 22nd, 2012 at 12:19 PM
Well it’s part of quitting. You walk away from your teammates.
I don’t see any negative in Lebron causing a Cleveland team to lose, though.
June 22nd, 2012 at 12:20 PM
66 games regular season *
Seriously though. I’m content with him winning a championship and am glad it’s over with. I’ve been watching LeBron play since he’s been 14 and watching the whole thing come full circle is kind of surreal seeing where he came from here in the small city of Akron. Being a Cavs fan, it’s a bitter pill to swallow I’m just glad it’s over with and we can all move on and not have to hear about the king without a crown. He worked hard and deserves it. LeBron is great but an even greater asshole.
June 22nd, 2012 at 12:20 PM
darrell, mole said jordan quit on his teammates when he left to play baseball. he didn’t owe them anything, in fact you could argue the reverse, they owed their status as champs to him
anyway, no one lives a completely selfless life, so who’s to say when someone can choose to do something solely for themselves? jordan wannted to try baseball, and why not?
June 22nd, 2012 at 12:20 PM
Also I’m sure if you looked back at quotes from Jordan, Sanders, Mario, they all mention their teammates when they decided to retire. They realize they’re kind of screwing their teammates, but they had good reasons to do so.
Lebron’s reason was “my team and organization sucks ass, fuck this.”
June 22nd, 2012 at 12:21 PM
oh good gawd, I’m getting outta here. All this support for mint chocolate chip ice cream is cult-ish.
June 22nd, 2012 at 12:21 PM
I’m a Knicks fan, I’m a Melo fan, but I’m also a basketball fan. As a sports fan, I appreciate greatness. LeBron is greatness. I really could give a fuck about changing your opinion.
June 22nd, 2012 at 12:22 PM
Elbow looked fine all throughout the playoffs.
June 22nd, 2012 at 12:22 PM
You realize that Jordan played baseball because it’s what his dead father wanted him to do all along right? That’s the exact opposite of selfish.
June 22nd, 2012 at 12:22 PM
Now go back to Faux News my friend. You may miss something reaaalllly fair, balanced, and factual!
Too stoned to fly with some of you turkeys anymore. Tee time on the ocean, bitches
no wait, we were just warming up to being insulted!
June 22nd, 2012 at 12:22 PM
Now theres a man that took some shortcuts. Island hopping champion. But by doing so actually proved his worth. Perhaps Lebron should demand a trade to OKC this year.
June 22nd, 2012 at 12:23 PM
I like when I agree with Darrel
June 22nd, 2012 at 12:24 PM
You know who else did it the easy way?
Ray Bourque.
Fucking pussy.
June 22nd, 2012 at 12:26 PM
Bulls need someone to run the show with Rose on the mend, make something happen for Boozer and parts…that team would win the East
June 22nd, 2012 at 12:27 PM
You shut your dirty whore mouth, mole. Do not slander the great Raymond Bourque.
June 22nd, 2012 at 12:27 PM
if we can set the baseline at ‘does an athlete owe anybody anything?’ that would be great. free agents can do whatever they want, no need to consider anyone but themselves and their families. so what if a ateam drafted you, so what if you grew up somewhere, so what if the team paid you lots of money?
You realize that Jordan played baseball because it’s what his dead father wanted him to do all along right? That’s the exact opposite of selfish.
ok, then i don’t know what’s going on anymore. i was responding to your claim that he quit on his teammates. do you think that he was being a dick by trying baseball? i thought you were saying you do, so i was disagreeing.
dead fathers? i got nothing about that
June 22nd, 2012 at 12:27 PM
The Miami Big 3 all have no trade clauses. None of them are going anywhere unless its some really cold blooded shit and they turn on each other, which I don’t see happening. This is going to be their team til 2020 I’d bet. Chalmers-Wade-Bron-Bosh-Anthony
June 22nd, 2012 at 12:27 PM
That’s quite the stretch. They were coming off 3 championships and his freaking father had been murdered. Jordan should be able to do w.e the fuck he wants at that point.
June 22nd, 2012 at 12:28 PM
I miss the days when Boston sports were so terrible across the board that they had a celebration for Ray Bourque’s Cup win
June 22nd, 2012 at 12:28 PM
You know who else did it the easy way?
Ray Bourque.
Fucking pussy.
You sound like a delight at parties. Respect the avatar, though.
June 22nd, 2012 at 12:28 PM
A shitty observation at that. Seems the opposite
really? you are stoned.
June 22nd, 2012 at 12:29 PM
There you go. I think it would be awesome if he went to every city winning a championship except Cleveland.
June 22nd, 2012 at 12:29 PM
I hate Jordan but if I were being a dick I would have busted out the old crackpot theory that his gambling debts got his dad murdered.
I don’t think he was being a dick by retiring the first time. I do think that by definition he quit on his team and teammates, which was in his right, and was a much bigger decision than Lebron saying fuck it this series is over and taking a game off.
June 22nd, 2012 at 12:32 PM
He can do whatever the fuck he wants, and made by all accounts a smart heartfelt decision. Again, not making a value judgment to say he quit.
I don’t actually think Bourque is a pussy. I just think it’s funny that in one sport a guy can be universally loved for leaving a team to win a championship at the end of his career and another guy in another sport is a quitter and taking the easy route by leaving a historically losing franchise in the prime of his career for what – a point nobody could argue – would be a much better shot at winning.
Though I do hate the NHL commercials about “the puck engraver finally had to learn to spell Bourque” MOTHER FUCKER PHIL HAD TWO CUPS ALREADY.
June 22nd, 2012 at 12:33 PM
a bigger decision yes, but nothing is as weak as quitting on your mates while playing
June 22nd, 2012 at 12:34 PM
a bigger decision yes, but nothing is as weak as quitting on your mates while playing
yup.
June 22nd, 2012 at 12:36 PM
Fair, fair.
June 22nd, 2012 at 12:39 PM
Underwear, you an Aussie?
June 22nd, 2012 at 12:41 PM
He was doing Hakeem a favor, ok?
June 22nd, 2012 at 12:42 PM
I was waiting for someone to go there. I’m just glad it wasn’t me.
June 22nd, 2012 at 12:44 PM
It’s the 9/11 was an inside job of sports, in my opinion.
Jordan is a reprehensible human being, but that ain’t one of the reasons.
