Deron actually cares about winning (from what I’ve read about him) and has a fiery competitive drive, so I’m curious to see what he does. As for the Lakers, they are pretty much fucked unless they get rid of Kobe or Pau. Since Mitch isn’t going to make himself a villian and amnesty Kobe (which would be the best move for the franchise and allow to continue winning elsewhere on a smaller salary), that leaves the option of trading Pau.

Still think Sota is interested in swapping Beas for Pau, which would actually be an ideal situation for both teams.

First you need a time machine to go back 4 months and try to trade for Deron. If that doesn’t work you have to amnesty Kobe and trade Gasol for an expiring contract and then buy out that contract. So getting Deron should only cost you 2 of your best players.
