I'm not the one to get offended really at all, but "Dickey credits Orel for success" may be in a bit of poor taste in this instance. Just a couple months ago he detailed his history of being sexually abused as a child and was suicidal while in the minors. Heard him discuss it on Rome.

As someone with a lot of experience dealing with a knuckleballer, don’t get your hopes up too high. It’s a fickle pitch, and it can turn for the worse very quickly.

True enough, though Wakefield certainly never pitched at this level.

If you don’t know Dickey’s story (elbow issue diagnosed by Ranger’s team physician looking at an SI cover photo) – it’s interesting.

Especially noting the fact that the Rangers withdrew their original offer to him. I hate the Mets but it’s a good story.
