Roger Clemens Found Not Guilty On All Counts
The government tried to convict Roger Clemens of perjury, false statements, and obstruction of Congress for testimony regarding his steroid use.
He was found not guilty on all six counts today, after a lengthy trial that lasted several weeks. I guess the jury did not like Brian McNamee, or thought this case was a giant waste of time and taxpayer money.

thought this case was a giant waste of time and taxpayer money.
While that may be true, it shouldn’t have any bearing on his guilt or innocence in the jury room.

remember the juror that fell asleep during the trial? we’ll always have that.

from my experience in a jury room, I can tell you that there are lots of things that shouldn’t have bearing in a jury room that do, many that make no sense.

Why are cases where a person is “not guilty” a waste of taxpayer money? What’s the cost of justice? All cases are supposed to end in guilty verdicts? Wow. I’m glad I am not in a world like that.
He wasn’t proven innocent. This guy is piece of shit and I’m glad they occupied his life and legal reserves for a few years.

Lisk was in a real life “12 Angry Men”. Or perhaps in his case, it was 2 interest men, 1 interested women, and 9 people who couldn’t think of a way to get out of jury duty.

same happened when i was on grand jury. some people wanted to charge spouse of the defendant even though her testimony was key to convicting her husband, b/c they didn’t see the grey area between black and white interpretations of the law.

Absolutely a waste of money, but drop in the bucket compared to other things the government wastes money on.

What’s more frustrating: Roger Clemen’s found not guilty, or that thebiglead won’t fully load in a high speed internet area? I’m going with latter.

I volunteered to be on a mock jury. It was for a practice trial (remember the hog farm smell thing from a few years ago.) Holy cow, I was elected foreman. Got paid $250 for it, but it wasn’t worth it. A lot people are just idiots when there is a minor bit of power in their hands.
