NBA players dress well– not nerdy-chic or any other semi-pejorative– because playing in the NBA has become a genuine engine of social mobility. Guys who in many cases grew up in disadvantaged situations are dressing like people who are classy, not people who are nerdy. Nerdy people wear clothes that don’t fit well. NBA players are now dressing like other millionaires who have sex with models.

I don’t like the lense-less glasses, though.

That’s why I wear undershirts under my polos/buttondowns. I don’t have dry-clean-every-time money yet.

So this is not gross at all but hopefully you can recommend a good stand by explanation why your laundry is in the freezer next time a guest reaching for ice starts asking too many questions.

Yea. I am right where you are, just started the second book. I was amazed how quickly they read even for being huge books. the background you get on the families is very helpful. Where as the show I would have to watch an episode twice just to somewhat grasp what the hell is going on.

Agreed. I don’t feel they do a great job explaining the family histories and how they intertwine with each other on the show, but….they only get an hour. The background on the Targareyns is especially helpful.

Um….I didn’t really feel that way. But, I’m about to start reading A Clash of Kings, so we’ll see, since that season just aired. I think it will definitely enhance watching the show.

My gf bought me an expensiveee pair of jeans, Imogena & Willie. So so very tight but apparently they stretch out with wear and I don’t wash them for maybe a year or so.
