Russell Westbrook’s Postgame Attire > Dapper Wade & LeBron
All, NBA, Television, Video June 13th. 2012, 9:36am

NBA Finals, the game within the game: Postgame swag-off.
We may need to hire a fashion consultant just for the Finals.
Skinny ties, glasses when you don’t need them (or just the frames, minus the lenses), and of course, Russell Westbrook, whose whimsical taste has everyone chattering whenever he takes the stage. Steve Urkel is mighty impressed.
Westbrook was born in 1988; Family Matters ran from 1989-1997.

I like both looks.
June 13th, 2012 at 9:46 AM
can’t wait for Darren Rovell to tell me where I can find Russ Westbrook’s shirt…..but i do like that suit on Bron Bron…..i’d rock something like that no doubt….but F D Wade that guy used to be a star
June 13th, 2012 at 9:47 AM
My this league has changed.
June 13th, 2012 at 9:49 AM
Has Wade become more bitchy since he has been around Lebron?
June 13th, 2012 at 9:51 AM
I don’t think so, it’s more that people didn’t care about the Heat much before LeBron brought the spotlight to the franchise so they didn’t notice
June 13th, 2012 at 9:53 AM
Considering I’m around KD’s age, let me just say that this is not the fashion norm. But then again, you look at what Michael Jordan wears off the court and its not just a youth thing, its an NBA thing.
June 13th, 2012 at 9:53 AM
Westbrook has by far the worst outfit.
June 13th, 2012 at 9:55 AM
But man, what a game.
June 13th, 2012 at 9:59 AM
Seriously….how bad has he become? He was a mess on defense, it seems like luck whenever he gets a shot to fall, and he constantly has that whiny-ass face. He has to be hurt.
June 13th, 2012 at 10:02 AM

I’m extra salty because I bet on the Heat to win the series, i know its only one game, but he was awful last night…..chucking up bad 3′s, all over the place on defense…and like you said constantly has that face…..Lebron gets all the hate though
June 13th, 2012 at 10:02 AM
At least I feel like Westbrook is in on the joke or something.. the rest of them thinking their glasses are making them look oh so dapper, fuck em. Wonder if Lebron wears those when he’s trying to read the Hunger Games.
June 13th, 2012 at 10:02 AM
Just to further show how much LeBron doesn’t get it. Dude looks like a complete ass in most glasses he wears. Has a fucked up shaped head/face and glasses don’t sit right on him. But he’s all about image, so he soldiers on. 1-0, good guys. Thunder Up.
June 13th, 2012 at 10:04 AM
Yes. Dude realizes LeBron is now the star and it’s killing him.
June 13th, 2012 at 10:04 AM
still plenty of time for the refs to send him to the line 32 times in a game so he can be a hero
June 13th, 2012 at 10:04 AM
LeBron and Wade are just doing a Lane Pryce tribute.
June 13th, 2012 at 10:04 AM
Someone on here brought this up earlier, and it isn’t far from the truth. This Heat team isn’t a whole lot better than those 10-11 Cavs teams.
June 13th, 2012 at 10:05 AM
Haha, I did too…+140 to win the series.
June 13th, 2012 at 10:07 AM
My Mavericks friend is still pissed about that series, even after winning last year.
June 13th, 2012 at 10:07 AM
LeBron and Wade are just doing a Lane Pryce tribute.
June 13th, 2012 at 10:07 AM

yea really they were so bad last night, that call on Collison late was supposed to be a charge, same on Thabo late….even my wife noticed those calls and she doesn’t know shit about basketball
June 13th, 2012 at 10:08 AM
This has got to be the reason. Or you would think. I think he’s playing almost like he doesn’t care or is entitled to a call every time someone breathes on him. And he’s been AWFUL in transition defense. He turns it over or shoots a bad shot, bet your ass he isn’t getting back on D and is just bitching at the officials.
June 13th, 2012 at 10:08 AM
I meant the ’09 and ’10 teams …. I’ll admit they are better than the ’11 Cavs team
June 13th, 2012 at 10:09 AM
List of Things That Make Wade Bitch:
1.) Star Jones
2.) LeBron became the face of the Heat.
3.) When Googling “Dwayne”, “Dwayne Johnson” is the first auto suggestion. “Dwayne Wade” is second. Again.
June 13th, 2012 at 10:09 AM
But injury or not, Wade used to never play so lackadaisical.
/Falls down 7 times, gets up 8′d
June 13th, 2012 at 10:10 AM
My disdain for LBJ and Wade is limitless. Luckily they keep providing ammo:
Wade
LeBron
June 13th, 2012 at 10:12 AM
Yeah Wade is definitely not himself this playoffs. He is slow, tentative with the basketball, and his jumpshot is non existent. He used to be automatic from 15-17 feet, which is why he was so difficult to guard. Now he can’t throw it in the ocean and has no lift when attacking the basket and consistently gets his shot blocked.
None of that takes into consideration the fact that he has definitely become very privileged and rarely gives the same effort for 48 minutes he did when he was at the top of his game. It’s a shame because he truly was one of the best players, and one who played a complete game at the same time.
June 13th, 2012 at 10:12 AM
I dunno, number 2′s pretty good when it’s not even how he spells it
June 13th, 2012 at 10:13 AM
June 13th, 2012 at 10:14 AM
why is everyone wearing glasses?
have i just missed this trend? are they aware they look like assholes?
June 13th, 2012 at 10:14 AM
Hating on Lebron for the glasses he wears. Pathetic.
June 13th, 2012 at 10:14 AM
This series should be great but I don’t know who to cheer for. OKC might seem natural but remember the franchise was stolen from Seattle.
June 13th, 2012 at 10:15 AM
I look at this, and wonder what the do-rag wearin, baggy jeans falling off the ass, baseball hat tilted slightly to the left, real gangsta-wannabe NBA players of the late 90′s and the early aughts think about what the current generation of NBA players wear to post-game show.
June 13th, 2012 at 10:15 AM
That’s a long way to go to say Allen Iverson.
June 13th, 2012 at 10:16 AM
It’s not unusual to be loved anyone!
It’s not unusual to have fun with anyone!
/Carlton Banks’d
June 13th, 2012 at 10:16 AM
I’ve never been a big Wade fan, but I always admired his toughness and how hard he played. It bugs the shit out of me know because he is out there playing like he doesn’t give a fuck. And the fact that he’s wearing lens-less glasses after games isn’t helping his ‘i don’t give a fuck’ image he’s got right now.
June 13th, 2012 at 10:17 AM
At least I feel like Westbrook is in on the joke or something..
it’s very cool when athletes get goofy, like shaq or portis with his wigs
June 13th, 2012 at 10:17 AM
Yeah, that’s the reason buddy.
/wanking motion
June 13th, 2012 at 10:17 AM
They blame David Stern because he is a racist.
June 13th, 2012 at 10:17 AM
I think Wade/LeBron carry this swag-off round.
June 13th, 2012 at 10:18 AM
Durant’s glasses are prescription.
Great game recap tho. Anyone notice that Ibaka didn’t play the 4th quarter last night?
June 13th, 2012 at 10:18 AM
Wade has had his knee drained once or twice this postseason. Whatever else anyone wants to say about him, he isn’t playing hurt, he’s playing injured.
June 13th, 2012 at 10:18 AM
But the players on that team had nothing to do with that.
I miss Rasheed’s belt he’d always wear.
/Both teams played hard
June 13th, 2012 at 10:19 AM
Collison was doin work.
June 13th, 2012 at 10:19 AM
Yes. Dude realizes LeBron is now the star and it’s killing him.
You almost nailed it.
More like: Wade’s the big sister who knows her little brother is better than he is.
June 13th, 2012 at 10:19 AM
I’m not sure they care what middle aged, middle class, white dudes think.
June 13th, 2012 at 10:19 AM
have i just missed this trend? are they aware they look like assholes?
I doubt they have become self-aware, but the glasses thing is fucking stupid.
June 13th, 2012 at 10:19 AM
TGIF. Legendary.
June 13th, 2012 at 10:19 AM
Akin to the Hot Chicks with Douchebags website, I would like to see a “Douchebags wearing fake glasses” one.
June 13th, 2012 at 10:20 AM
More like: Wade’s the big sister who knows her little brother is better than she is.
fixed
June 13th, 2012 at 10:20 AM
I’m not sure they care what middle aged, middle class, white dudes think.
I’m not middle-aged yet.
/point taken.
June 13th, 2012 at 10:20 AM
This is nothing compared to Allen Iverson showing up to the 2001 Finals games in durags and xxxxxl shirts, and about $1 million in bling.
June 13th, 2012 at 10:20 AM
I look at this, and wonder what the do-rag wearin, baggy jeans falling off the ass, baseball hat tilted slightly to the left, real gangsta-wannabe NBA players of the late 90′s and the early aughts think about what the current generation of NBA players wear to post-game show.
i read this and i think, who gives a fuck what they think they’re as old as me now
/what happened to your gravtar, kaiser?
June 13th, 2012 at 10:21 AM
Legend. Wanted him to come out of retirement and join the Celtics for the playoffs. That would’ve been awesome.
June 13th, 2012 at 10:21 AM
Also, fuck you IT for taking Firefox away from me, again.
June 13th, 2012 at 10:21 AM
If that’s the case, he might be better off not playing at all. Seemed like the Heat were a much more fluid team this season with him not being on the court.
June 13th, 2012 at 10:22 AM
Not sure what Game 1 means, lots of ways to look at it. Wade/Bosh were terrible, and LeBron’s outside shot was off, yet they had a chance to win. Alternatively, role players showed up and they still lost.
The only definitive thing we can say is that Wade is a complete and total bitch.
June 13th, 2012 at 10:22 AM
Family Matters was a great show. I just saw an episode a week ago, and it’s still funny.
June 13th, 2012 at 10:23 AM
Knee drain = injured? Pussy.
-Kobe
June 13th, 2012 at 10:24 AM
Not the players’ or the coaches’ fault there.
/Thunder Up
June 13th, 2012 at 10:24 AM
I’m still baffled that a player with the drive that Wade has (had?) readily admitted that Lebron was the leader on the team, they follow him, etc. The Wade of the past was a little too competitive for stuff like that; he has the mental makeup of Jordan/Kobe.
And there’s no way he’s playing like this while being injury free. Reminds me of Kobe’s games before he got the German procedure.
June 13th, 2012 at 10:25 AM
maybe wade had a ruptured hemorrhoid.
June 13th, 2012 at 10:25 AM
Great game recap tho. Anyone notice that Ibaka didn’t play the 4th quarter last night?
ha this can’t be the recap
June 13th, 2012 at 10:25 AM
I’ve railed against skinny ties often, and I think it boils down to this. It’s for skinny hipsters. If you’re of a decent size, the ite just gets lost and resembles a bolo tie.
June 13th, 2012 at 10:25 AM
I think some of that can be attributed to OKC’s D. Durant can play off him (like fucking Bass should have done) and still contest a shot due to his length. OKC played great D last night.
June 13th, 2012 at 10:25 AM
A riddle wrapped in a mystery, inside an enigma.
June 13th, 2012 at 10:27 AM
Wade/Bosh were terrible, and LeBron’s outside shot was off, yet they had a chance to win. Alternatively, role players showed up and they still lost.
yeah but you got a lot of points from battier, which is not normal
June 13th, 2012 at 10:27 AM
So? Lots of reasons to dislike a team. I want to like them, but then I remember they’re in Okla-freaking-homa. They should not have nice things.
June 13th, 2012 at 10:27 AM
On the other hand, James Harden was a non-factor and the Thunder still won. The difference in yesterday’s game was Nick Collison and offensive rebounds. They were playing Bosh as the center most of the 4th.
June 13th, 2012 at 10:28 AM
game one post is up. eager to hear Karma/Chicago’s take on the headline.
June 13th, 2012 at 10:28 AM
I’m not sure they care what middle aged, middle class, white dudes think.
I’m with you on this, Just one thing, though … where’s Lisk …
how does the breakdown of NBA-related money spent breakdown across the demographics? I look out into a typical NBA crowd and it’s not really filled with “gangsta-wannabes”. Concessions, parking and local game-day restaurant receipts? And the proliferation of NBA jerseys floating around – how much are knock-offs and how much are officially licensed and really benefiting the players?
Just saying the crowd looks like a fairly typical cross-section of us. So the players may not care about middle aged white folks but the league might. Just sayin’.
June 13th, 2012 at 10:28 AM
June 13th, 2012 at 10:28 AM
Were you not hating on Lebron for wearing glasses? It is not the reason you hate him, I’m sure, but it is an impressively pathetic thing “Just to further show how much LeBron doesn’t get it.”
June 13th, 2012 at 10:29 AM
LeBron’s suit is way too tight. Look at his shoulders and arms. Suits are not supposed to be compression. Where’s jck?
June 13th, 2012 at 10:30 AM
Stinky, sanctimonious festival hippies > nba stars with stupid fucking wardrobes
June 13th, 2012 at 10:30 AM
I rock a skinny tie every once in a while and it looks awesome. I am not a hipster. Fuck you guys.
June 13th, 2012 at 10:32 AM
Stinky, sanctimonious festival hippies > nba stars with stupid fucking wardrobes
Awesome.
And I agree.
June 13th, 2012 at 10:33 AM
TGIF and the Saturday morning cartoons in the late 80s, early 90s were legends.
June 13th, 2012 at 10:33 AM
Strange days when professional basketball players are dresses like white kids.
June 13th, 2012 at 10:33 AM
I rock a skinny tie every once in a while and it looks awesome.

June 13th, 2012 at 10:36 AM
LeBron looks like an asshole in glasses. it’s a fact.
if you want to get into it, maybe when you lose a finals game you should look like are more concerned with the loss and what you can do to fix it than trying to look like a clever fashionista by wearing fake fucking glasses.
June 13th, 2012 at 10:37 AM
You’re right I usually can’t stay away from the choco-tinis when I’m getting dressed in the morning.
You know what happened to Moonies right? And Micawbers?
June 13th, 2012 at 10:37 AM
all of this
June 13th, 2012 at 10:38 AM
I know Moonshadows moved across the Commons and is now a crappy bar that’s upstairs.
June 13th, 2012 at 10:41 AM
Well that’s Second Floor. Moonies stayed where it was, but they blasted out the left wall and turned it into a huge dance club. Strobe lights and stuff. Ridiculous.
June 13th, 2012 at 10:42 AM
Was he supposed to cry? Throw something?
What separates athletes from us a lot of times I think is that they don’t get too high or too low following a single game which doesn’t mesh with how fans perceive things but it’s how you find success in sports…I doubt he didn’t care about the outcome
June 13th, 2012 at 10:53 AM
Urge to kill, rising.
June 13th, 2012 at 10:54 AM
How can they shoot so well if they all have such terrible eyesight?
June 13th, 2012 at 10:59 AM
That’s a pretty shitty standard to hold someone to. Like bitching about Obama filling out a march madness bracket because he has “real” work to do. I’m sure that the extra 15 minutes it takes these guys to get their outfit together really affects their preparation.
June 13th, 2012 at 11:03 AM
Belichick >>>> all
June 13th, 2012 at 11:29 AM
That’s a clown question, bro.
