Portugal gutted out an exciting 3-2 win over Denmark, keeping advancement hope alive for themselves and, potentially, the Dutch. Nicklas Bendtner, who once scored outside the human scale in a “self-perceived comptence” test, evened the score with his second goal of the game on an 80th minute, though Portuguese substitute Silvestre Varela won the game with an excellent finish in the 87th minute.
Ronaldo missed two chances 1 on 1 with the goalkeeper. The second could have put the game away.
