Dan LeBatard’s Rant Against the Celtics Was Quite Good
It was much more scripted than his classic, off-the-cuff work when the Heat inked LeBron and Bosh and after the Heat eliminated Derrick Rose last year, but still rather humorous. You can tell LeBatard is like a dormant volcano with the Heat, secretly praying they beat the Thunder so he can erupt the way he wanted to last year before Miami collapsed against the Mavericks. If memory serves, LeBatard was so shocked at the Finals loss, he was in a hazy fog for days, mumbling and stammering through his show, dumbfounded that the Heat did the same thing against the Mavericks that Derrick Rose had done two weeks prior: Pissed all over themselves.

discussing what some dude said on a sports radio show is about as dumb an exercise as i can think. what’s more pointless than someone’s opinion on someone else’s opinion?

But what are LeBatard’s thoughts on kickball?

I actually enjoy LeBatard. He’s usually a pretty solid writer. However, I have no idea why his dad is part of his show even though the 3-4 times I’ve seen it I’ve laughed pretty hard at him.

You could say the same exact thing about sports in general. Going to a game to cheer and say “yippeeeeee” every time your favorite grown man does something neat is pretty stupid too.

But what if he has a ruptured hemroid?!?!?!

Yaaaaawnnnnn…really? Beating the Celtics and becoming the EASTERN CONFERENCE CHAMPIONS is what should prompt this?
How about saving this bullet for if/when the Heat win the NBA Finals and get to shove the trophy in every detractor’s face? Oh wait, that may prove harder than imagined.

Lebatard does that tongue in cheek when he does his rants. You have to listen to his radio show on a regular basis. He has enough self awareness to do one mocking himself if/when the heat lose
