We ought to be getting Pacquiao-Marquez 4 or Pacquiao-Mayweather this November. Instead we’re getting a rematch of a completely unnecessary fight. God, shit like this makes me question why I love boxing so much.

We’re getting that rematch because neither Arum or Manny want any part of the other 2 options. They know they can get money off of a rematch with a move straight ahead to get hit type of fighter like Bradley, tailor made for Manny because there are plenty of suckers out there who rather root and opine for their idealized version of what they perceive Manny to be as opposed to the easy to hit, easy to time boxer he really is for those who can expose this.

Something is up. Pacquiao looked uncomfortable before the fight, he disappeared for awhile, his wife was in the dressing room (which she
never does), the long wait before going out to the ring. There have been articles about people bleeding Pacquiao dry. He was too calm after the decision, I would have lost my mind. I think he needed money and his handlers convinced him to bet against himself in a fix.

I pissed for Manny, but feel awful for Juan Manuel Marquez. Guy could argue he had 2 wins over Pacquiao and was in line for a fourth fight, but now that shit gets derailed by this bullshit.

Oh, and I’m calling it right now: Pacquiao stomps Bradley in the rematch, then says he’ll take less than 50-50 to fight Mayweather, but “Money” will bitch his way out of the fight by demanding a 70-30 split.

As someone who paid for the PPV, I don’t feel cheated (thanks to Rigondeaux’s domination and Bailey’s unbelievable comeback), but it’s disappointing. The odds scream fix, but I can’t figure out from what angle. Even if Arum wanted to make Bradley a superstar, he can’t believe Bradley has a shot with Mayweather. I’m just at a loss.
