Manny Pacquiao Upset By Timothy Bradley In the Most Controversial Decision Ever
Boxing is dead. Long live boxing. Timothy Bradley upset Manny Pacuqiao on the judges’ scorecards. There was late money on Timothy Bradley so take it how you wish.
Though they aren’t alone, The Daily News had it for Pacquiao:
Judge Jerry Roth scored it 115-113 for Pacquiao, while judges C.J. Ross and Duane Ford each scored it 115-113 for Bradley. The Daily News scored it 116-112 for Pacquiao. With the victory Bradley earned $5 million and the WBO welterweight title.
So, boxing is dead? I can’t keep track. I just want to say that bad judging/umpiring/refereeing/officiating happens in all sports. When it happens in MMA or boxing (or all the other sports)Â people point to corruption in the sport. It is human error. People are inherently incompetent.

I can honestly say I had no idea there were corruption charges in MMA

As someone who paid for the PPV, I don’t feel cheated (thanks to Rigondeaux’s domination and Bailey’s unbelievable comeback), but it’s disappointing. The odds scream fix, but I can’t figure out from what angle. Even if Arum wanted to make Bradley a superstar, he can’t believe Bradley has a shot with Mayweather. I’m just at a loss.

Lol yeah human error that’s it!

Bradley’s good friend even says he lost.
Corrupt as fuck.

I pissed for Manny, but feel awful for Juan Manuel Marquez. Guy could argue he had 2 wins over Pacquiao and was in line for a fourth fight, but now that shit gets derailed by this bullshit.
Oh, and I’m calling it right now: Pacquiao stomps Bradley in the rematch, then says he’ll take less than 50-50 to fight Mayweather, but “Money” will bitch his way out of the fight by demanding a 70-30 split.

What goes around comes around. Manny just got his. He’s been the recipient of poor decisions in the past. Now he’s the recipient of a suspect decision.
Let the viewers pick the winner. They’re the ones paying to see the fight.

Fucking hate this logic here. If you think JMM won the third fight (or all three for that matter) against Pacquiao, he’s still NOT going to get that 4th bout now. That is disheartening.

It’s not just BAD officiating or judging. It’s a fixed fight. This is worse than those fucking East German judges at the Olympics in the 70s. That late money coming in on Bradley says something. Screams something.

The closest media card was SI’s 116-112…AP 117-111, yahoo had is 119-109…fixed.

it’s quite impressive another sport was able to make the NBA look like it’s not corrupt by comparison.

Something is up. Pacquiao looked uncomfortable before the fight, he disappeared for awhile, his wife was in the dressing room (which she
never does), the long wait before going out to the ring. There have been articles about people bleeding Pacquiao dry. He was too calm after the decision, I would have lost my mind. I think he needed money and his handlers convinced him to bet against himself in a fix.

We ought to be getting Pacquiao-Marquez 4 or Pacquiao-Mayweather this November. Instead we’re getting a rematch of a completely unnecessary fight. God, shit like this makes me question why I love boxing so much.

I read the headline and thought we had a white Irish champ. D’oh

Power punch scores tell a different story than the judges

We’re getting that rematch because neither Arum or Manny want any part of the other 2 options. They know they can get money off of a rematch with a move straight ahead to get hit type of fighter like Bradley, tailor made for Manny because there are plenty of suckers out there who rather root and opine for their idealized version of what they perceive Manny to be as opposed to the easy to hit, easy to time boxer he really is for those who can expose this.
