LeBron James’ Deep Three Pointer Topped Off His Dominant Series
LeBron James put a dagger into the Celtics Saturday night to top off a fantastic Eastern Conference Finals series. How big was this deep shot from LeBron? At the time, the Heat had rallied to go up four points, and that shot came with less six minutes left as the shot clock was ticking down.
The Heat had 88 points just before that shot went through. The Celtics finished with 88 points. Boston never recovered to make it a game after LeBron symbolically nailed it shut. According to ESPN’s Tom Haberstroh, LeBron (31 points, 12 rebounds) had only two games all year with 34+ points and 11+ rebounds. He averaged that in the seven game series.
Of course, if Miami goes on to lose in the NBA Finals, the talk will be about LeBron not being clutch, right after he carried a team that was missing Chris Bosh for the first part of the series through to the Finals with some of the best performances in the postseason in the history of the league.
Oklahoma City will be a slight favorite in the Finals, as it has home court advantage. I’ll take Miami to win the series in a minor upset.

I assume LeBron will guard Durant, but will Durant guard Lebron? A pretty good opportunity for each to make their case as the best player in the world.
