NCAA 2013 Team Ratings Revealed, and There are Some Surprises
The EA Sports NCAA 2013 team ratings have been revealed, and if we are to believe they are correct, then Texas will probably be playing for a BCS title this year. The ratings haven’t been confirmed.
Here’s a look at the top teams overall ratings according to EA.
Alabama 97
Arkansas 95
Auburn 93
Clemson 97
Florida 91
Georgia 97
LSU 99
Michigan 97
Nebraska 91
North Carolina 91
Notre Dame 97
Oklahoma 97
Oklahoma State 95
Oregon 99
South Carolina 95
Stanford 93
TCU 93
Texas 99
Texas A&M 93
Southern Cal 99
Utah 95
Virginia Tech 95
Washington 93
Wisconsin 99
Texas at 99? Did anyone at EA watch the Longhorns play last season? EA has the Longhorn offense at 91. Do they have Vince Young-as-QB-all-the-time mode enabled or something?
Is anyone surprised by Notre Dame’s 97? We’ve seen what those 5 star recruits have done for the Irish in recent years. The Irish do have a pretty favorable home schedule, but on the road at Michigan State, Oklahoma, and USC will be a daunting task. Maybe they have turnovers turned off. Notre Dame was 118th in the country in turnover margin last season.
Can we even say Stanford is a top team now without Luck? Can you still play the game with Luck as your QB? And really, Utah a 95? [TraditionSportsOnline - more screenshots here]

No mention of what Ernie Johnson thinks of this information?
Penn State an 89, ha. Talk about rating inflation.
June 7th, 2012 at 12:12 PM
I haven’t play NCAA since ’10. The ratings here seem totally out of wack — they used to be letter ratings with a rating for overall, offense, defense, and special teams.
June 7th, 2012 at 12:12 PM
where is indiana’s ranking?
June 7th, 2012 at 12:13 PM
Nice scoop.

Things I need to know: Can Denard Robinson throw? Does he go to the ground writhing in pain every time he’s touched?
June 7th, 2012 at 12:15 PM
So what’s USF 97.5?
/What did NCAA rate the speed of the officers who ran down Lady Of The Lake players?

Who is Shamburger?
June 7th, 2012 at 12:17 PM
Posts on video games now? Fine. I’ll bite. SC and OSU are too low, aTm is too high and holy shit those numbers don’t mean anything to me.
June 7th, 2012 at 12:17 PM
It’s a parody account.
June 7th, 2012 at 12:17 PM
2 out of 3 ain’t bad.

Who is Shamburger?
Apparently, he’s the new college football guy that writes very few meaningful words.

USC QB #7 6’2 230 lbs 98 rating
LSU CB #7 5’9 175 lbs 95(?) rating
These rankings and model players in now way resemble actual living serfs.

Clemson has 5-star prestige on this game out of 6? WTF?
June 7th, 2012 at 12:22 PM
the “fuck clemson” meme is responsible for that extra star.
June 7th, 2012 at 12:24 PM
If someone made a video game of my company and made a 5’11 200lbs homeless looking guy with 100 rating in Whiskey consumption I would consider that my likeness.
June 7th, 2012 at 12:25 PM
SMU is overall 89 with an 89 offense rating and an 84 defense rating. The irony of this is that the offense, a few games aside, has never been consistently good under June Jones, but last year we had a top 20 defense.
June 7th, 2012 at 12:25 PM
well, now the mystery of what Miggie does for a living has been solved.
June 7th, 2012 at 12:27 PM
This post is so Raven.

Thanks for this.

June 7th, 2012 at 12:33 PM
don’t think osu’s on there…pretty sure they’re a 95 too.
They’re on the list at 95, just below the entry for OK.
June 7th, 2012 at 12:34 PM
lol…id be a contender for the ricky williams bongbacker of the year award each of my 4 years. excuse me…the lanky 6′ 185 lbs BONGBACKER #420 for ohio state would be.
June 7th, 2012 at 12:35 PM

Top 20? Didn’t UH hang a bunch on them?
June 7th, 2012 at 12:42 PM
All kickers should be pot smokers but not all pot smokers should be kickers.

3 Inches of Blood?
June 7th, 2012 at 12:46 PM
Top 20? Didn’t UH hang a bunch on them?
A&M, UH, and Tulsa all lit us up. Those were bad losses. Still they were 40th in the nation in points allowed. I think the top 20 figure comes from the run defense, but I’d have to check.
June 7th, 2012 at 12:47 PM
Very. Just felt completely off. And there is no way I am buying that Blake doesn’t always smoke good shit.
June 7th, 2012 at 12:47 PM
That’d be Mr. Asshole to you, good sir.
June 7th, 2012 at 12:47 PM

June 7th, 2012 at 12:48 PM
that’d be it…much appreciated.
June 7th, 2012 at 12:48 PM
This is the video I’ve linked a few times.
June 7th, 2012 at 12:49 PM
agreed…i liked the premise (which was funny cuz i watched it with a dealer i took a break from…awkward), but it lost steam after the first scene. also, if a dealer of mine ever gave me a bill like that, i’d…well, i probably wouldn’t have dealt with them in the first place.
June 7th, 2012 at 12:50 PM
Texas 99
EA Sports wants Mack Brown canned, too?
June 7th, 2012 at 12:50 PM
Demamp would be the face eater.
June 7th, 2012 at 12:51 PM

June 7th, 2012 at 12:54 PM
Maybe they have turnovers turned off
well played, duffy.
June 7th, 2012 at 12:58 PM
Face if off da chain, baby.
June 7th, 2012 at 1:00 PM
well played, duffy.
or shamburger, whoever the hell you are.
June 7th, 2012 at 1:10 PM
As long as they still have linebackers that can jump 12 feet in the air, defensive players that seemingly always get a hand on the ball and linemen that either don’t block or give up blocking the moment you’re near them, then this game can continue to go get fucked.
June 7th, 2012 at 1:20 PM
Va Tech at 95 seems a touch on the overrated side. Logan Thomas isn’t Cam Newton and they are replacing at least the top 2 and maybe top 3 on the RB depth chart….
June 7th, 2012 at 1:36 PM
Needs more Appalachian State.
June 7th, 2012 at 1:37 PM
Wow. I expected at least one classic Clown comment in this thread. Dude is slippin’
June 7th, 2012 at 1:39 PM
I won’t buy the game, but I can dig UGA as a 97. Nebraska in the 90′s in bullshit though. Texas at 99 is just flat out hilarious.
June 7th, 2012 at 1:43 PM
Needs more
Appalachian StateGA Southern.Fixed for accuracy and interest.
June 7th, 2012 at 1:46 PM
SC QB #7 is lacking the douchey smile.
June 7th, 2012 at 1:52 PM
well, after this post, I’m a huge shamburger fan.
