The Phillies have done this, too. Drafted Ruben Amaro Jr (when he played) and his Dad was a scout. Drafted pitching coach Rich Dubee’s son.

Hell, in another sport, the Flyers drafted a kid (Nick Luukko) who is the son of Comcast-Spectacor COO Peter Luukko (Comcast-Spectacor owns the Flyers).

Nepotism happens no matter what you do.
