Celtics Fans Dumped Beer On LeBron James On His Way to the Locker Room
LeBron James scored 45 points on 26 shots tonight. The Celtics lost by 19. After a post-game interview, a Celtics’ fan dumped a beer on LeBron as he headed to the locker room. The history of Boston fans being racist assholes is long and storied, but we will just focus on what they did today. Dumped a beer on LeBron James. Threw a basketball at Dwyane Wade’s head. Put “FCK LBJ” on a roadside sign. Other than that, what a great fan base!

Having listened to the Simmons podcast earlier today I was to understand that those people were going to help raise the Celtics to a higher level, apparently they needed to clap harder or something

What was that material over the entry to the lockerroom? Nylon? Can’t they afford a fucking tarp or something?
Unless the NBA was going to allow a fan to help guard LeBron James, they were going to have nothing to do with it.
And by “a fan”, I mean someone with super hero reflexes, because no one was going to guard James tonight.

I cannot listen to a simmons podcast unless Adam Carolla is involved. And I think ESPN mgmt has put the banhammer to that.

The Boston faithful took one look at how OKC’s fanbase does it and went “AWW HELL NAWW!”
Protect this house = dump beer on the man who just took your team to school.

Nice of you to draw your own conclusion that it was beer. Could have been a Sprite.

I hope Kevin Durant enjoying his 24 hours with the MVP trophy. LeBron coming for your OBrien trophy next.

It was the “Good Job, Good Effort” Kid. He’s using reverse psychology. That said it was only the contents of his sprite.

CJ…that’s phenomenal.
anyone catch lebron’s postgame presser? really bizarre.
June 8th, 2012 at 8:42 AM
Whatever. I’d take KD all day every day over LBJ. Quality dude you can build around, not an entitled douche who wilts under pressure.

June 8th, 2012 at 8:47 AM
I guess high school graduation day is now a holiday.
June 8th, 2012 at 8:47 AM

The Celtics fanbase continuing to show why they’re the most thuggish fanbase in the history of the NBA.
June 8th, 2012 at 8:52 AM
and for what it’s worth, I have no issues with boston fan’s behavior. i like it better when there is some genuine animosity, on the court as well as off. they should hate lebron’s guts, especially when the series is still going on. this ain’t tiddlywinks.
June 8th, 2012 at 8:53 AM
Rad dude, chiseled, attitude?
Is he describing JMAC or a TMNT?
June 8th, 2012 at 8:54 AM
That’s funny
June 8th, 2012 at 8:56 AM
as for that guy that hit wade with the ball, he should get an award of some kind.
June 8th, 2012 at 8:57 AM
in a way it is refreshing when a fanbase hates the opposing team players rather than tweets about wanting LBJ to do well b/c he likes them but still wants the Celtics to win.
June 8th, 2012 at 9:00 AM
it’s fine to hate opposing players, but if you’re going to do it at least smuggle in a can of beer if you’re going to throw it at a player…im taking points off for the kids’ glove treatment.

Long live the King!
king of what? making the finals?
June 8th, 2012 at 9:02 AM
fair enough. a tallboy full of AAA batteries would have gotten him bonus points.
June 8th, 2012 at 9:10 AM
its cowardice. Theres nothing refreshing about seeing some schmuck’s self satisfied look at throwing a ball at someone’s head because he knew the other guy wasn’t going to be able to do anything about it. If Wade charged the stands and knocked that refreshing clown out, he would have been the bad guy.

Should have watched Game of Thrones and hit King James with a cow pie.
