Nate Webster Got 12 Years For Unlawful Sexual Conduct With a Minor

Nate Webster, the former Bengals linebacker, has been sentenced to 12 years in prison. Webster faced charges of “sexual battery, gross sexual imposition (sexual touching) and five counts of unlawful sexual conduct with a minor.” He turned down a plea bargain for four years and was convicted of four counts of unlawful sexual conduct. Those four counts earned him 12 years.

As a reminder, the girl started out as a babysitter under Webster’s employ.

Webster was chided by the girl’s father, Tieger said, for not paying her for babysitting. When he did, he started the sexual relationship, the prosecutor added, and threatened to kill her and her family if she told. “As time went by this became a full-fledged secretive relationship,” Tieger said.

The good news for Webster is that he was facing 20 years.

i read the actual post and there was absolutely nothing in there that hinted weeden would be the starter unless you count “he’s quickly getting a feel for his WR’s*” which i do not.
*he should get a quick feel for them…the lack of skill should’ve been readily apparent

The jury convicted Webster of having sex with the girl in the fall of 2009, something Webster admitted to police on a taped statement played to the jury. After his arrest, though, Webster insisted he remembered incorrectly and said he began having sex with the girl in 2010, when she was 16, Ohio’s age of consent.

BEREA, Ohio — Browns coach Pat Shurmur hinted today that he could name rookie quarterback Brandon Weeden his starter by the start of training camp in late July.
He said he’d like to name the starter “sooner rather than later.”
He said the competition is playing out here much like it did in St. Louis in 2010, when he said they named No. 1 overall pick Sam Bradford the starter at the beginning of training camp.
