since when is comparing two timed sports comparable to one that is not?

the NFL was for damn sure slowed down. replay review, regardless of a “timed enforcement,” that never previously existed surely slows down the game from its pre-replay pace. but the NFL is too big for anyone to really care about rule enforcement. that is, until nazi goodell finally pussifies the sport out of its competitive nature.

baseball has replay now. it also has the strongest player union in professional sports. selig isn’t making this more difficult than it needs to be; it’s really THAT difficult (e.g. introducing drug tests).

the main diff is that those sports have time limits, while baseball could theoretically go on forever…an at-bat, an inning, a game

The same people who say that baseball is too slow, seem to be the same ones advocating for this instant replay. While they advocate for it, I have yet to hear a reasonable plan on what exactly should be replayed, and how it should be done. To me, unless you can come up with a solid plan on what should be reviewed, please shut up.

Enforce the rules that state a pitcher only has 20 seconds between pitches and that batters are not allowed to leave the batter’s box once an at bat has begun.

Yes. They roll it back no matter what. If there was supposed to be a stoppage of play anything that happens after it gets wiped out, doesn’t matter who scores. It’s kind of crazy, but it’s also kind of pure.
