Also want to rip this “some writer named” (see what I did there)…2K sports was paying MLB millions more than Sony was, and has wanted out of the MLB videogame license for at least three years. So unless EA decides to get back into MLB, and then have to build a brand new studio to make baseball games that are as good as the Show, there will be no baseball game on 360.

As others pointed out, MLBAM makes boat loads of money, compared to the free videos that NBA nor NFL make a dime on Youtube from.

Finally, baseball will always be the first game that any kid goes to, not football or basketball. MLB also has huge upcoming followings in Korea, Japan, South Africa, the Netherlands, Germany, Taiwan, Australia, and they are planting the seeds in China and Brazil. Don’t think NFL is doing that.

tl, dr version: Fuck that guy, he doesn’t know shit.

Serious question. Does anyone here go to the TV to watch highlights anymore? Almost immediately there are highlights for all 4 major sports on their own sites right after the game ends. I don’t remember the last time I turned on Sportscenter to watch a highlight I wanted to see.

I watched every Santana no hitter highlight at mlb.com.

What is MLBAM?

MLB Advanced Media. It’s what MLB.tv and the VideoCenter fall under. Pretty much all the “media” (video, photos, audio etc.) that is produced by MLB.

You know all those times we hear “this broadcast cannot be reproduced, rebroadcast or otherwise reconditioned without the express written consent of Major League Baseball”? That’s what they refer to. It’s MLB capitalizing on their right to own their property and make millions upon millions of dollars of it.

For someone that likes winners Jason, you sure don’t pay attention to the sport where the team you root for or support or whatever you want to call it win the most often. Why do you have a jihad against baseball? Is it simply because they choose to exercise their right to the property that is rightfully theirs and you can’t post it on your website to increase you own venture’s income?
