To clarify, I was talking about Roberto Carlos. Beckham has a pretty good success rate. Roberto Carlos spent the next decade kicking field goals as ridiculously talented Brazil and Real Madrid teams watched.

I see. I thought you were talking about Beckham. But I do recall that in the subsequent World Cup, the play-by-play folks would crow about that one goal every time Brazil had a free kick. It would be subsequently followed by Roberto Carlos sending the kick soaring into the 10th row.
