Local Los Angeles Television Does it Again: Former Dodgers Closer Eric Gagne is Apparently Making a Comeback in Stanley Cup [Update: It Looks Like Photo Was Faked]
The Los Angeles Kings making a deep run in the Stanley Cup playoffs is the gift that keeps on giving. Local television news has had a hard time catching up with the Kings, making repeated gaffes. First, it was using the Sacramento Kings logo. Now, we get the news that Gagne is returning for game 3 of the Stanley Cup finals. That would be left winger Simon Gagne, out since before the start of the New Year with concussion symptoms, not former Dodgers closer Eric Gagne.
[UPDATE: numerous people on Twitter are now saying the photo is a fake, and is photoshopped from the earlier Deadspin photo, and was forwarded to The Royal Half. Pretty funny fake to jump on the Gagne return.]

I have to think that is shopped. If it’s not, then the Kings twitter account will surely address it like they did the logo mishap.
Go Kings. New Jersey doesn’t deserve to have nice things.

Sounds like someone’s gunning for a promotion to Detective JMac’s Vice squad.

I’m more interested in who Lisk thinks the Royals will take at #5 tonight.

It’s tough for niche sports to do well in towns even the NFL knows to stay out of.

sorry, man. I still think it’s hilarious, even if I was duped along with others. I’m sitting at the entrance to Bear Lake right now, I’ll drown my sorrows at a waterfall.

Hopefully someone that will be on a full season squad by this time next year.
