Game of Thrones: “Valar Morghulis” Recap
Noooooooo! Don’t go! When does season 3 start? If you tell me next week, I might make it. Otherwise, may the others take you. Again, please keep the book discussion in the secret Game of Thrones Spoiler Thread to the right. We un-learned non-book-readers appreciate it.
Tyrion - Of course the season had the shittiest ending for the best character. Tyrion should be a hero and they left him for dead? Even for the Lannisters, that’s bullshit. Stannis would hold the Iron Throne if it wasn’t for Tyrion. Shouldn’t his father at the very least show a little appreciation for his son? After all this, is Tyrion still a bastard to his father?
Bronn – No Bronn – Tyrion scene? That is also bullshit. We couldn’t get another 5 minutes?
Tywin Lannister – Two straight weeks he had the ballin’est entrance into a throne room possible. Having your horse take a dump as the doors open certainly makes a statement. The Godking Grandfather should add a new dynamic to King’s Landing.
Joffery – His entire attitude seemed a little different. Maybe that was a relieve Joffery because he still has his head and his throne. Or maybe Jack Gleeson was a little less method that day. He said the right things when initially given the opportunity to upgrade from Sansa to Lady Margaery. That takes some conviction.
Margaery Tyrell – Queen material. I’m sure she and Cersei will get along famously.
Sansa – 30 seconds of happiness.
Ros – Whores in Game of Thrones have great range. They can become the love of the Hand of the King, an important spy or get sodomized for Joffery’s enjoyment.
Brienne – She and Jaime remain a great duo. Especially now that Jaime has seen her do work.
Robb Stark – Every good season finale has a wedding. I think 6 seasons of Friends ended with a wedding. Surprised HBO didn’t play up Robb Stark’s nuptials in the ads.
Stannis – How did they get him out of King’s Landing? Also, is Stannis Baratheon going to have to choke a bitch?
The Hound – Miss you, Dog.
Theon Greyjoy – What a great speech and a tremendous episode for Theon. This was also a very confusing part of the finale. Are Robb’s people really outside? Theon said he saw them. Who was blowing the horn? How are the Iron Islanders going to get out of there? Were they turning Theon over? Why did they kill Maester Luwin? There is no conceivable explanation for the Iron Islanders burning Winterfell to the ground and going home with Theon.
Dany – After such an incredibly shitty and boring season with a bunch of people that turned out not to matter one little bit, Dany had an awesome finale. First she gets to go to see the Iron Throne while it is snowing. Has Dany ever seen the snow? Shouldn’t she have been cold? Then she gets to see her sun and stars. Then, destruction.
It’s become increasingly clear just how important fire is. Wildfire is unstoppable. The only thing that can stop a Whitewalker is fire. A powerful, magical warlock can be set on fire in his home – “The House of the Undying” btw – in a hot minute and be destroyed.
Oh, it also felt awesome to watch Jorah and the Dothraki sack Qarth. Did we know there was more than one Dotraki warrior still in Qarth? It’s almost like the first 90% of the season where Dany and her storyline was boring and stupid and boring and boring never happened. #wardragons
Ducksauce – He had so much money and jewels, he needed to buy a safe. The safe cost the exact amount he had to protect. Oops.
Khal Drogo – Even when he’s a teary, stay-at-home ghost dad, he’s still pretty badass.
Jaqen H’ghar – What’s going on here!? No, don’t tell me. Little known fact – Kevin Durant is from Braavos.
Arya – Why didn’t she just go with Jaqen? Her family members will just get her into more trouble.
Podrick Payne - This young squire deserves some credit for saving Tyrion. Good job young fella.

Jon Snow – Gets to meet the King Beyond the Wall! Shouldn’t the wildlings just call him the King? Or the King on this Side of the Wall? I hope he finds his mom!
Whitewalkers – Well… shit. These things are fairly terrifying.
The problem with any season finale in a serialized show like this is that there are so many questions that won’t be answered until next season. Or never. (/glares at LOST) I suppose I could read the books, but I’m a very busy man. I’ll just have to suffer until… winter and war and dragons are here next Spring.

I guess the Winterfell thing bugs me the most. The fuck happened? Glad I decided to read the books.
And, uh, more Dany’s boobs in season 3.
June 4th, 2012 at 11:48 AM
How long before Littlefinger has turned Harrenhal in to the Vegas of Westeros?
June 4th, 2012 at 11:48 AM
awesome.
June 4th, 2012 at 11:48 AM
I think Sepinwall’s recap explains my feelings about this season perfectly. I especially liked this:
June 4th, 2012 at 11:49 AM
Totally agree.
June 4th, 2012 at 11:49 AM
Thought the finale was a massive improvement over its season 1 counterpart, although I had two complaints (one of which you covered here):
1. The House of the Undying scene was abridged. Didn’t need some of those visions – many of which would have been too spoilery – but it didnt have the same sense of trippy otherworldness as it did in the book.
2. The Theon thing. It was way too confusing, even for book readers. I’m not sure why they removed Ramsay from that story but it doesn’t really make sense without him. I’m guessing the Ironborn made a deal with those laying siege to escape with their lives if they handed Theon over, then the Northerns (re: Ramsay) burned the castle anyway. But without that book knowledge I don;’t have any idea how that scene would make sense.
June 4th, 2012 at 11:49 AM
Along with Winterfell, this bothered be as well. I fully expected his first scene to be set in a prison.
June 4th, 2012 at 11:50 AM
Stannis – How did they get him out of King’s Landing? Also, is Stannis Baratheon going to have to choke a bitch?
His soliders pulled him out.
June 4th, 2012 at 11:51 AM
antonio cromartie is interested in hiring these soldiers…would you happen to have their contact information?
June 4th, 2012 at 11:51 AM
So…that’s what did happen?
June 4th, 2012 at 11:52 AM
Ramsay Bolton burned Winterfell, not the Iron Islanders.
June 4th, 2012 at 11:53 AM
They didn’t. Robb told Roose to send Ramsay.
June 4th, 2012 at 11:54 AM
from the show we knew…
-ramsay was headed there
-robb said any iron islander can leave except theon
-theon’s crew hated him
-theon thought he was leading a glorious suicide mission
it was pretty easy to follow, i thought.
June 4th, 2012 at 11:55 AM
So Ramsay burned his King’s home.
June 4th, 2012 at 11:56 AM
I thought that was poorly laid out. I’m guessing it’s much more clear in the books. Though, I am confused as to why one of Robb’s allies would torch his home. My guess is that Robb is going to have a lot going against him next season. I’m convinced that chick he married is bad news.
June 4th, 2012 at 11:56 AM
Wait…who the fuck is Ramsay, and why would he burn Winterfell?
June 4th, 2012 at 11:56 AM
Finchy’s always been a dick
June 4th, 2012 at 11:56 AM
Most confusing episode ever. They made too many large leaps. I too tripped out when Stannis was back home, and didn’t understand the whole Winterfell thing. This close to breaking down and reading the books.
June 4th, 2012 at 11:56 AM
The Pirates escaped contractions then managed to save Stannis.
June 4th, 2012 at 11:57 AM
I hope this is addressed in season 3
June 4th, 2012 at 11:57 AM
Yes but you’d have absolutely no idea if you hadn’t read the books. None of the Starks were even confused that their home was on fire.
June 4th, 2012 at 11:57 AM
ive already spoiled a lot for myself via wiki but im guessing because a) it wasn’t his home since theon stole it and b) ramsay is not exactly balanced.
they hinted at that last bit earlier in the season too if i remember.
June 4th, 2012 at 11:57 AM
Very well said. I totally agree, since I have to constantly explain what’s going on and who’s who to my wife and brother, who have not read the books.
June 4th, 2012 at 11:58 AM
Loved the contrast between the reaction to Tyrion’s inspiring speech last week and Theon’s this week. More proof that Iron Islanders are the biggest cunts in the imaginary world of Westeros.
June 4th, 2012 at 11:58 AM
I dunno that’s still pretty thin. Ramsay was mentioned like twice in 10 hours and never seen. And it doesn’t make sense that one of Robb’s allies would burn his home to the ground.
June 4th, 2012 at 11:59 AM
It was pretty hilarious when they cold cocked him.
Why would they burn Winterfell? Because Catelyn Stark let Jaime go ? The guy who was sent to Winterfell was the bastard of the guy who was really pissed when they found out she let him go right ?
June 4th, 2012 at 11:59 AM
Yeah. Honestly I think that people who didn’t read the books only liked this episode because of the swanky zombie trope.
But I’ve got no sympathy.
Read the fucking manual.
June 4th, 2012 at 11:59 AM
Is this yardwork?
June 4th, 2012 at 12:00 PM
I keep waiting for him to make inappropriate jokes, and fake hump someone.
June 4th, 2012 at 12:00 PM
He has no honor. He’ll probably live then.
June 4th, 2012 at 12:00 PM
The problem is that 70% of that plot was laid in single lines. If you’re not hanging on every word, it’s easy to get confused.
June 4th, 2012 at 12:00 PM
My guess is that the Starks are about to go the way of the Targaryens. Too spread out….too many enemies…
June 4th, 2012 at 12:00 PM
Is this Ballin?
June 4th, 2012 at 12:00 PM
/pinches area between nose
if you believe possession is 9/10 the law and have an armed group of invaders occupying the city…is it really the starks’ anymore?
also, for all they know, theon burned bran and rickon.
also, ramsay bolton is a nutjob, which they mentioned when talking about him in the first place.
why is the pothead asking people to pay attention?
June 4th, 2012 at 12:01 PM
Really? I think it’s all been pretty straightforward this season if you pay even a little bit of attention. The finale was a bit confusing though.
June 4th, 2012 at 12:01 PM
Is this where we get to talk about who makes the best barbecue?
June 4th, 2012 at 12:01 PM
Yes, they should have explained a few things better, but Jaquen’s face change, Danny and the White Walkers made that episode well worth it for me. Arya needs to get to Bravos assassin 2-a-days to learn that face change shit, stat.
June 4th, 2012 at 12:01 PM
And, as we know, there’s no cure for being a cunt.
June 4th, 2012 at 12:02 PM
Who watches the watchmen’d.? Not people that didn’t read the graphic novel was the answer.
June 4th, 2012 at 12:02 PM
HBO is doing a disservice keeping it only 10 episodes and trying to cover a complicated story in that length of time.
they have to know the series will catch up with the books, don’t use the books as the start and stop of the season, especially since books 4 and 5 take place at the same exact timeframe, covers 1800 pages between new and existing characters.
hbo’s got lots of left over money from Luck, might as well use it for a show that doesn’t kill horses.
June 4th, 2012 at 12:03 PM
/team the mountain
June 4th, 2012 at 12:04 PM
But the Ironborn clearly made a deal with the surrounding army to leave safely. So why would the Northerners feel the need to burn down the city after letting the occupiers walk out the door? Why would Robb want that?
And I can’t remember a single time Ramsay was mentioned as a nutjob.
It’s television. You can’t expect non-readers to connect the dots like that to a character they’ve never once seen and was barely mentioned. There’s a reason it’s come up in every single review. It’s confusing.
June 4th, 2012 at 12:04 PM
The finale was a mess I thought. The previous 9 episodes were great, though. Now I just need to get through the books so I will know what the hell is going on.
June 4th, 2012 at 12:04 PM
I was reading the first book after the show last night, and they just got to the part where they mention the Faceless Men and hiring them to kill Dany. There’s only so much they can fit in to 10 hours. The books make everything that much better.
June 4th, 2012 at 12:05 PM
All that money is tied up in all the cell phones they have to buy for Veep to make eighty twitter jokes an episode.
Holy shit does that show suck.
June 4th, 2012 at 12:06 PM
All of this. I had read about Jaquen via the Wiki beforehand, but it was cool to see.
June 4th, 2012 at 12:06 PM
Which is why book 3 will be two seasons. And I’m guessing that much of book four will be trimmed, the surviving characters mashed into book five, and presented as two seasons. So Storm of Swords will carry through 2014, the mix of Crows and Dance will be 2016.
June 4th, 2012 at 12:06 PM
I don’t see how anyone can view this as anything but problematic.
June 4th, 2012 at 12:07 PM
im a non-reader and i picked up on it. i guess every single review should’ve paid closer attention.
June 4th, 2012 at 12:07 PM
Holy shit does your opinion on Veep suck.
June 4th, 2012 at 12:07 PM
Die. Funniest show on TV by a mile. Only Archer is better overall.
June 4th, 2012 at 12:07 PM
Confused about who burned Winterfell also. Also confused about Sansa, though she went with Hound.
June 4th, 2012 at 12:08 PM
I got three episodes in and gave up. Wanted to like it but, nope.
Unless the girl from My Girl dies in the fourth episode I’m not going back.
/SOCIAL MEDIA JOKES FOR ERRRRRYBODY!
June 4th, 2012 at 12:08 PM
Well, I’ll just read the books and then the problem is solved.
/but I see your point
June 4th, 2012 at 12:09 PM
I don’t understand why so many people think this. She clearly refused his offer, staying in King’s Landing as he walked out the bedroom door.
June 4th, 2012 at 12:09 PM
Veep tries too hard and tries to use obscenity alone as the punchline
June 4th, 2012 at 12:09 PM
Considering you already said you know about what happens to Theon you’re being fairly disingenuous here Spence. You read spoilers, that’s why you picked up on it.
June 4th, 2012 at 12:10 PM
The only thing I laughed at in the first three episodes was the retard line, just because the delivery was hilarious at the press conference. Other than that? Eh.
June 4th, 2012 at 12:11 PM
Veep is hilarious.
June 4th, 2012 at 12:11 PM
The 3rd and 4th episodes of Veep were perfect. The 5th episode (baseball one) was a dud. I haven’t watched the latest one.
June 4th, 2012 at 12:11 PM
Thanks for your opinion.
June 4th, 2012 at 12:13 PM
My friend hasn’t read the books and has no interest in reading them and she sent me an email today with about 15 questions asking for clarification on what happened.
I don’t know if it’s failed as a TV show but I do think the next book is going to be really difficult for them to make into a screenplay with the way they’ve decided to go with certain story lines this season.
June 4th, 2012 at 12:13 PM
Just watched the episode…but definitely wanted more visions from the House of the Undying. But I guess they don’t want to spoil things in the upcoming books and things GRRM hasn’t written yet.
June 4th, 2012 at 12:13 PM
Does the book say how he was captured? It seems like he’s a guy that wold be able to avoid that fairly easily.
June 4th, 2012 at 12:14 PM
i disagree.
obscenity can be funny, it doesn’t have a long shelf life by itself, but the frozen yogurt episode is proof enough they’ve got the potential to be amazing.
June 4th, 2012 at 12:14 PM
Not that I recall
June 4th, 2012 at 12:15 PM
Hence the eventual split of book 3. Carry over any leftovers from book 2 into the first two episodes of season 3, then work through up until RW for the season 3 ending.
June 4th, 2012 at 12:15 PM
Oh give me a break. That’s like saying Larry David is trying too hard to be overly neurotic for a laugh on Curb.
June 4th, 2012 at 12:16 PM
HBO should stop being so fucking cheap. Give the people what they want. HBO’s always a bitch. Treat their consumers like shit. “Oh, we’ll cancel Deadwood and take a couple year hiatus from popular shows for shits and giggles. “
June 4th, 2012 at 12:17 PM
Agreed.
June 4th, 2012 at 12:17 PM
My brother read the books a while ago and when I told him HBO was making it a tv show he said at the time that he thought they would have a very hard time with it as the detail and character profiles are so difficult.
June 4th, 2012 at 12:18 PM
If more shows did this as opposed to just having to churn them out on a deadline we’d see better storytelling and creativity
June 4th, 2012 at 12:19 PM
Spence, Theon is knocked out and carted off by his people, who say they’re going home. From that, you can infer that a deal has been struck. Cut to, the entire fucking city burning.
Explain how you can infer from that image that an unseen, barely mentioned character went off the reservation and burned the home of his supposed ally for an unknown purpose. Even a line from one of the kids to the effect of “I thought our friends were outside the gates” or something would have done wonders for coherence.
June 4th, 2012 at 12:20 PM
Veep is awesome, but I can understand why the Girls fans wouldn’t like it.
June 4th, 2012 at 12:20 PM
based on how book 3 ends, if they rush that or screw with the story too much, try to squeeze it in and skip stuff, it ruins how good it is.
June 4th, 2012 at 12:20 PM
i picked up on ramsay attacking winterfell and understand the budgetary constraints…two and two together.
reading a spoiler about theon doesn’t tell you much about who set the place on fire. i also don’t think it’s really that important of a detail to get angry over…it was just a dramatic effect. fire, no fire…doesn’t really matter since theon’s been betrayed.
June 4th, 2012 at 12:21 PM
This is four days old but did everyone see the slideshow of the GoT cast as they look in real life?
Dany looks gorgeous with dark hair.
/team brunette
June 4th, 2012 at 12:22 PM
He might be, but Curb’s jokes are funny
I’m perlexed why I don’t like the show all that much since it seems like I should but something’s just not clicking and I’m left confused at the adoration for it…I’ll give it the rest of the season to see if it comes together
June 4th, 2012 at 12:22 PM
i don’t understand the appeal of watching hipsters for 30 minutes, “girls” is terrible.
June 4th, 2012 at 12:22 PM
People are confused who burned Winterfell. I think they’re supposed to be. It’s called a fucking cliffhanger.
June 4th, 2012 at 12:23 PM
Seriously? By no definition has one of the most popular, critically praised shows on TV failed as a television show.
Thanks for your opinion.
But seriously, HBO is cheap now? Game of Thrones cost $71 million for 10 episodes. The creators asked for more money to film Blackwater and got it.
They treat their customers like shit? They created an online streaming library for subscribers (re: customers) that allows them to watch every episode of every show they’ve ever done.
What are you talking about?
June 4th, 2012 at 12:23 PM
Anyone looking forward to the 3rd season of Boardwalk?
June 4th, 2012 at 12:24 PM
Same.
This weekend I had time to kill so I decided to watch new stuff. Watched all of Better Off Ted and fucking loved it. Had heard awesome stuff about Veep so I got all the episodes and was just really disappointed. Though the fake dog conversation was great (that guy and Walsh are really funny).
Not completely sure why I dislike it, but I know Tobias is bugging the shit out of me and My Girl needs to get shot by an assassin.
June 4th, 2012 at 12:24 PM
yea.
June 4th, 2012 at 12:24 PM
As much as it pains me to admit this….yes, she’s definitely hotter as a brunette.
HBO had a season recap from season 1 before season 2 started and Dany was on there talking about the show and she looked fantastic with dark hair.
June 4th, 2012 at 12:25 PM
Agreed.
/No, really
June 4th, 2012 at 12:25 PM
I get that, but it doesnt seem like it was presented as one. It was just kinda there in the background, which is why a line from the kids or the old guy would have been really beneficial.
June 4th, 2012 at 12:26 PM
People are confused who burned Winterfell.
I’m thinking it’s Asha Greyjoy
June 4th, 2012 at 12:26 PM
I like that Jamie looks filthy in his real picture.
The Hound looks hilarious!
June 4th, 2012 at 12:26 PM
Not really. Was pretty pissed at the ending of season 2.
June 4th, 2012 at 12:26 PM
so wait, the burning winterfell actually does have a purpose? i figured just taking the thing would be enough to piss people off.
June 4th, 2012 at 12:27 PM
Okay. More Sex and the City and Entourage coming up. People are dumb. Deadwood didn’t get good ratings and we should be thankful they got at least 3 seasons out.
June 4th, 2012 at 12:28 PM
maybe you guys hate Veep because it’s centered around politics?
That show makes me physically shake with anger I hate it so much.
June 4th, 2012 at 12:28 PM
Boardwalk Empire is strange for me. It has elements of things I love (awesome production values, violence, strong acting, strong writing) and I’m told I should love it, but it never feels transcendent. More like an HBO kit car than the actual Lambo.
June 4th, 2012 at 12:28 PM
What’s the name of that smiling tree that can be seen in the intro? Is the tree alright?
June 4th, 2012 at 12:29 PM
And I still want to punch Jon Snow in the face for being emo.
June 4th, 2012 at 12:29 PM
Not really. Was pretty pissed at the ending of season 2.
Was it because Jimmy got off’d or something else?
June 4th, 2012 at 12:29 PM
i wasn’t looking forward to season 2.
call me when they kill off the historical characters to show that no one is safe.
June 4th, 2012 at 12:29 PM
i think it’s the cunty maple.
June 4th, 2012 at 12:29 PM
I did this as well but watched Terriers.
/bring back TERRIERS!
June 4th, 2012 at 12:30 PM
Here’s the best pic of Emilia Clarke. So hot.
SFW
June 4th, 2012 at 12:30 PM
But the people who took it were out of the castle. And the army outside the walls was with Robb. So why burn it?
June 4th, 2012 at 12:31 PM
I was pleasantly surprised to see Brienne wear make up and look girly. Thought for sure she would go for that androgynous Tilda Swinton look.
June 4th, 2012 at 12:31 PM
I think it would be wiser to focus on fewer characters in the next two seasons. Maybe split it between Jaime, Dany, Robb and Bran in the next season and Sansa, Arya, Tyrion and in season after. Jon has so much going on that it would have to be split between the two.
June 4th, 2012 at 12:31 PM
Season three of Boardwalk is going to either be its best season or when I stop watching, no in between.
Moving Van Alden to Cicero, where Capone gets his start, tells me that they’re both going to be huge characters. If that’s the case, I think it will be outstanding.
Kelly MacDonald needs to die though.

June 4th, 2012 at 12:31 PM
Netflix needs to make this happen. It’s not like Donal Logue is busy.
June 4th, 2012 at 12:32 PM
Wow.
June 4th, 2012 at 12:32 PM
why NOT burn it?
/ball’s in your court
June 4th, 2012 at 12:32 PM
Day-um. I’d hit that.
June 4th, 2012 at 12:32 PM
Tilda Swinton is the embodiment of taking a dump that smells so bad you throw up on your own dick.
June 4th, 2012 at 12:32 PM
the first episode was kind of funny, in an awkward way. the second one was so terrible we turned it off after 5 minutes.
and i think the lead actress is what ever female gawker blogger looks like.
June 4th, 2012 at 12:32 PM
Holy shit! That guy is a midget in real life!
June 4th, 2012 at 12:33 PM
I thought the part where Varys was saying that Little Finger doesn’t hide his weaknesses well was pretty telling.
What is his weakness?
June 4th, 2012 at 12:33 PM
When did the conversation switch to Zooey Daschnel?
June 4th, 2012 at 12:33 PM
little fingers, obvs.
/alex smith was a pro bowler!
June 4th, 2012 at 12:33 PM

June 4th, 2012 at 12:34 PM
Exactly. Why burn it? Oh, you’ll have to watch next season to find out. CLIFFHANGER
June 4th, 2012 at 12:34 PM
I dont think they can get around doing it chronologically. Too much happens. Besides, HBO will never take half their characters off the screen for a full season.
June 4th, 2012 at 12:34 PM
But what about the children?
June 4th, 2012 at 12:34 PM
lol.
June 4th, 2012 at 12:34 PM
yeah, i’m dreading the stormborn storyline, or whatever takes up 1/2 of book 5 is called.
June 4th, 2012 at 12:35 PM
/sets ball on fire
//cuts to Spence’s burning house
///infers that someone else did it
June 4th, 2012 at 12:36 PM
They can go too.
June 4th, 2012 at 12:36 PM
Ah the hell with his kids they can fend for themselves.

zooey daschanel is what all the gawker bloggers think they look like. instead they look like the lead on girls.
June 4th, 2012 at 12:36 PM
Okay that was solid.
June 4th, 2012 at 12:37 PM
A chick told me once that people tell her she looks like Zooey.
Bitch was at least four score and seven bills.
June 4th, 2012 at 12:37 PM
They didn’t present it as a cliffhanger, though. As stated above it was as if those who survived thought nothing of the fact that it was burned to the ground. Cliffhangers are generally presented as such.
June 4th, 2012 at 12:38 PM
Uh, Vokoun traded to the Pens.
June 4th, 2012 at 12:39 PM
All you non-book people are wondering who burned it and why. I’d call that a cliffhanger.
June 4th, 2012 at 12:40 PM
Indeed. Guess I should be thankful it was canceled to begin with because it allowed Neal McDonough to be a bad on Justified.
June 4th, 2012 at 12:40 PM
Yeah. Two million a year for a backup is a lot (I know in terms of the cap hike this means nothing but “this means nothing because of the cap hike” is the attitude that got us the last work stoppage).
If it means Fleury is getting scrutinized, I’m all for it.
If it doesn’t, I don’t like it.
If Fleury were ugly he would have been traded by now.
June 4th, 2012 at 12:40 PM
Good – now Fleury won’t have to play 70 regular season games
June 4th, 2012 at 12:41 PM
I’m not sure poorly explained plot threads count as cliffhangers. I can see what they were going for, I just don’t think it worked. The worst part is that it was easily remedied.
June 4th, 2012 at 12:41 PM
The Pens gonna re-sign Staal now or trade him?
June 4th, 2012 at 12:41 PM
I assumed the Iron Islanders (which didn’t make sense) did it but looks like I was mistaken…the show fumbled that one
June 4th, 2012 at 12:42 PM
Curious. And they are giving him $2M per for 2 years.
Paying him a bit much to be a back up, no?
June 4th, 2012 at 12:42 PM
I just always assume someone fell asleep smoking a cigarette
June 4th, 2012 at 12:43 PM
I agree they fumbled it to some degree. But I don’t think viewers are supposed to know who did it yet.
June 4th, 2012 at 12:43 PM
Exactly. They messed it up. Not the biggest deal, but it was a mistake nonetheless.
June 4th, 2012 at 12:44 PM
If it’s a cliffhanger it’s a pretty shitty cliffhanger.
June 4th, 2012 at 12:45 PM
My guess is neither until at least mid-season next year. They need to see if Crosby’s concussions come back and he can play entire seasons again. If he can, they can’t afford both and Staal will likely be traded at the deadline. If he can’t, they will need to look at Malkin/Staal as the 1-2 centers.
June 4th, 2012 at 12:48 PM
the only thing cleared up in this is that ive done a pretty shitty job spoling it for myself…i have no idea what to believe now.
June 4th, 2012 at 12:49 PM
Anyone watch ‘Longmire’ last night?
June 4th, 2012 at 2:45 PM
I just got cable TV/On Demand, so I spent the last two weeks watching the first 19 episodes, to catch up for yesterday. Frankly, I was disappointed, and who gives a fuck about zombies. It ruins the whole thing. Can you have some sort of ghost that doesn’t just remind me of The Walking Dead?
