RIP Richard Dawson
Richard Dawson, who most of us knew best as the original host of “Family Feud,” has passed away at the age of 79. His son, Gary, announced his father’s passing via Facebook:
“It is with a very heavy heart that I inform you that my father passed away [Saturday] evening from complications due to esophageal cancer. He was surrounded by his family. He was an amazing talent, a loving husband, a great dad and a doting grandfather. He will be missed but always remembered.”
Dawson was also on the television show “Hogan’s Heroes” and played a very memorable role as the excellently evil Killian in “Running Man,” so I’ll leave you with that. Unfortunately, the clip I wanted to use is not embeddable, so here’s the trailer.

Love Hogans Heroes, if there’s a better setting for a comedy than a WW2 POW camp I haven’t seen it.
