Dirk Nowitzki Played Tambourine at the Avett Brothers Concert Last Night [UPDATE: Video]
The indie rock band The Avett Brothers
had a special guest on tambourine when they played in Grand Prairie, Texas last night. A very large guest. Here’s band member Joe Kwon: “Cameo of the year goes to @swish41 for joining us on tambourine on Sally’s Lover!”
That would be the Twitter identity of Dallas Mavericks star forward Dirk Nowitzki, who is apparently quite the hipster. Nowitzki towered over the band members on stage. From the photos, it looks like Dirk took to his role as enthusiastically as Gene Frenkel. Needs more tambourine. [photos via @joekwon80 and @susie_gibson]
