It’s the 6-seeded Devils and the 8-seeded Kings in the 2012 Stanley Cup Final. Los Angeles has taken out the top three seeds in the Western Conference. Now they have a puny 6-seed awaiting them? This should be a cake walk. No team has ever won the Stanley Cup as an 8-seed. No 6-seed has ever won the Stanley Cup. The lowest seed to ever win? The 1995 New Jersey Devils. Their goalie was some guy named Matrin Brodeur. I believe he faded into obscurity.
