Vick isn’t the only one to commit this heinous crime. There’s probably someone in your city/state/province who is doing similar. The outrage should be consistent in every case like this, not just Vick.

My second point was, there are humans getting abused with alarming regularity in this world, especially small defenseless children. Read any big city paper (like the Denver Post). There are several court trials per year regarding some small child killed by a careless or malicious parent or caretaker. Where is the widespread outrage in those cases?

I love dogs. I love humans also, probably moreso.

My intended conclusion is this: the outrage should be directed at every person who commits such evil against human or animal. But, in our society it isn’t. You gnash your teeth and rail at Vick, but he isn’t the only one.

I didn’t callously watch as electrocuted dogs writhed and twitched in terror and pain. Vick did. I didn’t remorselessly watch as drowning, dying dogs fought for just one more breath of air. Vick did. I didn’t pick up a cowering dog, raise it over my head and SLAM it the earth simply because it couldn’t measure up to my standard of viciousness. Vick did.

The fact that Vick spent some time behind bars means nothing to me, nor does your suggestion that his served sentence has somehow “paid” for his crimes. Some actions are so vile and so cruel as to pervert and forfeit good-hearted notions of rehabilitation and forgiveness, and for me, Vick’s are among them. He can talk all he wants about what a changed man he is, but that’s not necessary. It’s actions, not words, that count, and Vick’s showed us what he really is. The rest is just conversation and damage control.

Your comments led me to believe you’re a self-righteous, ignorant ass who isn’t intelligent enough to understand the concepts of serving your time, rehabilitation, forgiveness, and turning over a new leaf.

Actions speak, and Vick’s revealed him for the scum of the earth sub-human that he is. The fact that he also happens to play a stupid game well is utterly irrelevant to the reality of what he did and what he is, and no amount of spin on his or the media’s part will EVER remove that stench.

Before you join in celebration of Vick’s next touchdown pass, stop and consider the pain and the fear that he saw in those dogs’ eyes…before he remorselessly proceeded to kill them anyway.

If I had to choose between my murdered dog and being raped in my childhood I would probably buy a new dog.

Would you hold the same view if a friend in a car ran over a stray? Dead is dead. Dogfighting is still going on in this country. Where’s the rest of the outrage?
