Jamal Lewis Has Filed For Bankruptcy
Former NFL running back Jamal Lewis has joined Antoine Walker and countless other retired athletes in the how-the-hell-did-you-do-that department. According to TMZ, Lewis filed for bankruptcy and has debts of $10.56 million, but has assets of $14.45 million.
This sounds a lot like the time Eddy Curry, who was making a ton of money at the time, forgot to pay his mortgage and ended up losing his mansion in Chicago.
Lewis still makes an annual salary of $420,000 and owns five houses, so I’m guessing there won’t be too many people rallying on his front lawn in an emotional show of support for the former Raven.

Athletes aren’t the best money managers.
This has the potential to eventually be on par with “Pederasts aren’t the best babysitters.”

I’m not the best at math but I don’t know how you can file for bankruptcy when your assets exceed your liabilities? There has to be more to the story here…

ec, many of his assets are not liquid, so he can’t pay his debts, so he has to restructure payments
