Been listening to that album in my car today. Probably put in Pack Up the Cats on the way to the show. They’re always awesome live, I’ve seen them probably 3x more than any other band, every chance I get.

I’m going to see Local H tonight. I saw them open for Live in like 1999, it was the album with Dolphin’s Cry on it tour. I stuck around for Live, they were all right.

I liked Romeo + Juliet,

it was cool in HS b/c i didn’t want to read the play and this made it interesting. had guns and shit. and blockbuster had the widescreen VHS to rent.

I had seen them in smaller venues with lawn seating. That was more their speed, I think.

I never saw Moulin Rouge.

I liked Romeo + Juliet, but I also liked the Ethan Hawke Hamlet soooo yeah. It was a terrible movie but I liked the retelling, plus Augustus Hill as Mercutio was baller.

I think, to your point, he does take on roles that seem to be the same roles, but he’s done a little bit of everything over the course of his career. I’ll pretty much make an effort to see any movie he’s in at this point.

He was really great in the Descendants.

I think that is more the point I was trying to make, I just didn’t do it very well. I have not seen the Descendants yet, but I imagine I will at some point.
