Video: Revisiting All the Locations From Hoosiers is the Best Thing You’ll See Today
Time stands still in Indiana. At least that’s what this short film will have you believe. A filmmaker went and visited all the shooting locations from Hoosiers, then he cut that footage together with scenes from Hoosiers. Not only do you get to see that most of the places have gone untouched since 1986, but you also basically get to relive the entire movie in just 18 minutes. In addition to all that – not to mention this project required a trip to Hinkle Fieldhouse, home of the Butler Bulldogs – the filmmakers added footage from the actual game that inspired the movie. *Brrrraaaaahhhhhmmmm* By the time you finish this video you’ll be six levels deep in your fondest childhood memories and sobbing like a little girl. At least I’m guessing that is what would happen…

my boss claims he was an extra in Hoosiers. but he could tell me the grass is green and the sky is blue and i wouldn’t believe him.

I’ve never seen this movie all the way through. The only interesting part was Dennis Hopper stumbling about.

Me neither. Booooooring.

From that footage, it looks like Indiana needs some YARDWORK.

Simmons pointing out how shaky a game coach Norman Dale was has re-shaped how I watch that movie…not calling the last shot for Jimmy is just trying to outsmart yourself
Perhaps if Pippen had just told Phil “I’ll make it” in ’94 that whole situation could have been avoided

There’s more than corn in Indiana!

Huge win last night as with the specter (sic) of Verlander getting a game, that and the positive performance/fan reaction with Perez helped things a bit.

Pretty cool video. Tony Campana’s superman dive from last night gives it a run for its money.

Choo was safe last night at first. And Damon could be the worst hitter in all of baseball right now.

should they bring up LaPorta?

Thanks for the link Vlad. I rarely visit ESPN.com anymore. Schoenfield been on baseball long? I recall him editing Page 2….
“According to Defensive Runs Saved, Cabrera has cost the Tigers four runs — worst among third basemen ”
“With his poor start at the plate and poor defense, Boesch has been one of the worst regular in baseball so far. ”
“Cleveland’s (bullpen) 4.16 ERA ranks 13th in the AL” Yikes. Was not aware.
He also made a good comment on the White Sox being able to hang around.

should they bring up LaPorta?
No No No. Admittedly, I am biased against him. Kotchman has hit .286 in May and saves runs with defense. Laporta has brick hands and is probably just a AAAA player. I’d ride out Damon until Sizemore can come back. If they go on some terrible hitting spell, I’d guess you make the move then.
Can LaPorta play LF???

Can LaPorta play LF???
i have no idea what he can play. all i know is Hafner can’t play in the field and LaPorta can’t hit big league pitching.
May 23rd, 2012 at 11:11 AM
Wheeler, Dan.
Like mentioned in the article. Perez, Pestano, Hagadone, Smith have been very good. And it seems like Sipp is turning it around and Raffy Perez should be back soon.

Can LaPorta play LF???
Yea he can, and I really need them to bring him up for my AL only fantasy team.
/nobody cares

My favorite part about baseball is that it’s played for 162 games and six months, not 45 games and two months. But, hey, page views and eyeballs are important for business.

Just heard pft guy florio drop joebucsfan’s name on chicago radio. Low seven figures jimmy. Way to go
May 23rd, 2012 at 11:17 AM
Part of my logic with Laporta, is Kotchman has righted the ship, he is so good defensively be’s going to play innings 7-9 alot anyway. I think with Laporta’s options, you cant send him back down.
So once you bring up Laporta you are stuck with him. I’d let the Damon/Sizemore crap playout first. There’s obviously some weird dynamic with Damon. I’d preach patience for now.
I think it’s nice the Tribe will get Sizemore, Raffy and Tomlin all back – it’s like adding three cogs. Detroit meanwhile, has to deal with Avila and Peralta regression.

Didn’t know you get points for Strike Outs and errors.

It’s a really good flick and I enjoyed it, but I get the rewatchability factor that many ascribe to this flick.
David beat Goliath. I get it.

Ubaldo’s still all over the place. Him and Masterson need to right the ship fast.
May 23rd, 2012 at 11:20 AM
I’m confused, you saying baseball shouldn’t be written about until October?

Basically if Barbara Hershey is on the screen flip away and come back in 5-10 minutes…there will be a good scene on

Ubaldo’s still all over the place
I’ve just come to grips he’s going to be a high pitch count, high walk & high strike out pitcher. The Rangers win was a good example. He just needs to spot his fastballs mildly better and he’ll do even better. He’s like a poor mans version of Dennis Martinez at this point.

At bats lead to runs and rbi in most cases. There are no at bats available to pick up in a 12 team AL only league.
