1) Shot it way too early. Need to limit the Heat possessions at the ends of quarters, obviously.
2) Attempted a long 3, which of course cause longer rebounds, which of course can create fast breaks for the other team.
3) By far not the best shot the Pacers can get in that situation.

If you would suspend metta world peace for something like that, you have to suspend Haslem. If it were Wade or James that hit hansbrough, they obviously wouldnt get suspended but you have to suspend someone who didnt even make an attempt at a basketball play

You obviously never watched basketball before 2000 where hard fouls like that were the norm and they weren’t flagrant. Haslem deserves 1 game. Pittman deserves the rest of the playoffs.

it all depends on which Boston team shows up. Is it going to be the one that annihilated the Heat during the regular season or will it be the one who struggled against the Hawks and Sixers the past few weeks? I go into each playoff game with no expectations. it’s all a crapshoot for boston. Bradley definitely needs to get healthy for Boston and Ray Allen just needs to be able to give 20 minutes a night of good, solid shooting.

Yea resolute, I expect Haslem may get a game because he targeted the head a bit too much. Wade should have gotten at least a flagrant 2 (probably no suspension, although that was a dangerous play by him too), but hey, he’s D Wade.

Oh and OKC and the Heat played 2 times in the season and they each got one WIN and one LOSS. Were do you get OKC is any better? everyone losses some games in the season, plus Heat defense has been in the TOP 3 in the NBA!

Experience wins games. If the young Pacers with their brash “swaggar’ thought they would go far, shame on Larry Bird for not teaching them better. I bet Granger will be a different player next year. Like Stephen A Smith said on ESPN tonight, if you dont have the skills to stand toe to toe with LeBron, you shut up and play. Obviously Hansbrough doesnt remember how Magic Johnson floored Isiah Thomas after getting tired of being manhandled by the Detroit “Bad Boys” Pistons (1989 finals). And who told Frank Vogel to keep playing Granger with a bad ankle? Who advised him to play Stephenson after the Haslem play? And since he was in, who told Stephenson to go after any rebounds or get into any physical play?

The NBA has been pussified enough no need to suspend Haslem for paying back Hansbrough for his own flagrant 2 that was called a flagrant 1. Anyone who argues that Hansbrough hitting Wade in the face with the hard follow through and scratching him on the drawback was inadvertant needs to get their eyes checked. The biggest disgrace was the whiny Kerr practically lobbying on tv for a Haslem suspension. Indiana has been playing bully ball the entire series. If the League was concerned about the “rough” play, they should have addressed the behavior of the Pacers early on. They didn’t, so I guess the Heat decided to take matters into their own hands.

Wow. Some solid trolling going on here in this thread.
Anyways, as a Heat fan, I’m disgusted by both the Haslem and Pittman plays. The Pittman one was dirtier, and he should be gone for at least 7 games, but the Haslem one wasn’t much better. The only difference was he waited for Hansbrough to shoot before attacking him while Pittman just outright blasted Stephenson. They’re both dirty and stupid as hell though and have no place in the game.

And I’ll also add I do think Hansbrough’s foul was a legitimate flagrant and intentional. He raked Wade’s freaking eyes like a pro wrestler.
