The LA Kings Sent Dwight Schrute Tickets in Jello
All, NHL, Television May 22nd. 2012, 12:50pm

Rainn Wilson wanted tickets for the NHL’s Western Conference Finals. Since he’s a celebrity who has more than enough money to buy his own, the Kings sent him tickets for free. They put them in a jello mold to pay tribute to the very first episode of The Office when Jim put Dwight’s stapler in jello. That was back before The Office was funny. As opposed to the later seasons which are after The Office was funny. It gets hard to keep track, I know.

Rainn Wilson and Wheaton, man do the Kings have some celebrity fans that are insufferable on twitter.

Rich & Famous. The Fame part is important. You don’t even have to wipe your ass.

Sounds like a funny show. Can’t stop laughing at the shenanigans.
/although the Kings idea was sharp

THE STAPLER! JELLO! IT WORKS ON SO MANY LEVELS!

Probably a duckworth, but still funny.

Is this Top Shelf?

Love it Geeezeus. With all the solid internet contributions the Kings have made, coupled with the Flyers’ outcasts being on that team, hard to not pull for them at this point.

Wysh’s suggestion of sending John Slattery tickets inside of Christina Hendricks needs to be taken. Get on it, Kings.

I would hope he has some kind of heavenly powers to justify that salary.

I’d rather pay a franchise D that kind of cash than a forward/goalie.

I’ll take him on the Wings any day at 7 mil a year. It’s not like he’s getting paid 7.5 like that dog Gaborik. That was a pretty gutless effort last night by the majority of that team. Rangers better step it up for Game 5 and shutdown that little bitch and future Red Wing Zach Parise.
May 22nd, 2012 at 1:15 PM
Can think of a some centers (Pavel, Sid, Toews, Thing 1, Giroux etc.) I’d give it to first but otherwise I agree.

future Red Wing Zach Parise
Caveat emptor.

Their ploy was to get him to the game so they could stomp his unfunny ass to death in the parking lot
You’re in the city of angels Rainn, and you haven’t got any wings

Season 1 was great. Seasons 2 and 3 were the best. It got progressively worse after that.

I’m not crazy about paying whatever to get him. I’d rather sign Semin, Suter and trade whatever to get Nash. But it ain’t happening.
May 22nd, 2012 at 1:22 PM
Best of luck to the team that signs Alexander Semin. Great talent. Plays Casper at times. Be curious what he eventually gets inked for.

we emptyin’ caves up in hurr?

VC, why do you hate the Devils so much? What did they ever do to you?
May 22nd, 2012 at 1:25 PM
Man this show used to be so funny. “I DECLARE BANKRUPTCY”

1995.

My dick runs deep, so deep, put that spelunker to sleep.

The trap.

Teams going after him probably need an established Russian top 6 forward (given he still doesn’t speak passable english) and a coach that knows how to deploy him. He destroys 2/3rd line compentition.
Guessing 5 years at $5.5M per.

They killed a hockey league for 10 years

Because Puddy had a Jesus fish on his car
May 22nd, 2012 at 1:29 PM
I was thinking 2 years at 4 – 4.5 M per. He looked pretty good with Pavel at the WHC. Pavel will control him.
May 22nd, 2012 at 1:30 PM
Because Puddy had a Jesus fish on his car
I have a theory that it is a scientific fact that Jesus fish people are not very good drivers. Still waiting on the grant money to come in.
May 22nd, 2012 at 1:31 PM
That doesn’t make me feel so horrible about the James Neal contract now.
May 22nd, 2012 at 1:32 PM
The trap.
The 1995 Wings begain employing the ‘left wing lock’ which if you see it on a chalkboard looks strikingly similar to the Devils neutral zone trap.
/every single team adopted elements of the ‘trap’
May 22nd, 2012 at 1:32 PM
He’s like Charles Bronson in The Great Escape.
May 22nd, 2012 at 1:33 PM
Screw the Dallas Stars. They should trade Loui Eriksson to the Wings for a 4th defenseman too.
May 22nd, 2012 at 1:34 PM
1995
That’s a long time to hold a grudge, but OK.
The trap.
So, if a team exploits a flaw with the red line, they suck? I suppose that’s why they abolished the neutral zone?
May 22nd, 2012 at 1:34 PM
Are the Wings gonna keep Mike Babcock on this scenario or simply replace him with Viktor Tikhonov?
May 22nd, 2012 at 1:37 PM
That doesn’t make me feel so horrible about the James Neal contract now.
Always a worry when signing a guy after a ‘career year’. Neal shot 12.2% which is inline with his career average of 12.4%. He averaged slightly over 4 shots/game, which is higher than previous season, but not outlandish.
Conservatively, if he averages 3 shots per game and shoots at his career (82 * 3 * 12.3%) he’ll put up 30 goals (3.5 shots = 35 goals). That’s worth the $5M cap hit in today’s NHL.
May 22nd, 2012 at 1:39 PM
I hate the Devils because I will never get the chance to fuck Melanie Brodeur.
May 22nd, 2012 at 1:44 PM
No. They suck to watch though.
May 22nd, 2012 at 1:47 PM
The Devils are kinda like the Spurs of the NHL. As in they both have had tremendous success over the last 15 years, but no one gives a shit about them and wish they would go away forever.
May 22nd, 2012 at 1:52 PM
No. They suck to watch though.
In the 90′s, I agree. Right now, I rather watch the Devils than the Rangers, much more agressive system.
