Here’s TNT’s Extreme Close-Up On Lakers’ GM Mitch Kupchak
As the Thunder put away the Lakers,TNT’s camera zoomed in real close to a very alone-looking Mitch Kupchak. The Lakers’ GM stood out quite clearly in the sea of Thunder blue. Why did TNT decide to go with the extreme close-up? Who cares. That’s some solid network televised trolling.

If anyone says anything about Kobe having zero assists, I’m going to fucking lose it (I’m saying this because people keep pointing it out on Twitter). He was shooting lights out, and killing it on ISOs. No one was in any position to score off his passes, and when he did pass, the players either didn’t shoot or just missed the shot.
I’m not saying the guy couldn’t have been more trusting, but the game was not lost because of 0 assists, it was lost at the start of the 4th when Mike Brown benched him while OKC still had Durant, Westbrook, and Harden in the game. This resulted in the offense running through Bynum and Gasol, and the Thunder, who were up by like 3 entering the 4th, ended up leading 91-77 by the time Kobe checked back in.

Yeah, but that was the same group that did all the damage last game in the first 3 minutes of the 4th. I agree with you, but i can see where Brown is coming from. Brown is a weak coach, and I don’t think that the other players personally like Kobe very much. Tonight felt like a “Yeah, whatever, here go shoot Kobe” kinda night from the rest of the team. They need a strong coach to keep everybody on the same page and from fracturing. Mike “Drew up 3 inbound plays in 90 seconds and they all sucked” Brown is not that guy.

no doubt karma, brown was a lakers liability. it’s one of the reasons the spurs are the favorites to win it all. they’re in good hands with pop

you deal with lebron and then kobe, you best have some gravitas. brown does not. it’s why spoelstra in miami is so strange to me. what’s to respect? it may be too simple to say get an old guy in there, but at least an old-school attitude with some success could command a better case for respect

And doesn’t the 4th Quarter Laker offense look a lot like the Cavalier offense of the LeBron era, but with an older superstar with less hops? Oh and I think Pops > Phil, cause Pops can bring in young and new players and make things work, where as Phil would slit his wrists before using a rookie it seemed. Great, great coach is Pops.

“I thought the element of the spectators changed for the worse tonight. There seemed to be a lot of people out there looking for trouble,” Turan said.
8 people shot (some in the back), some pregnant woman got kicked, some arrests made in OKC after game.

yes, I thought so. His forehead and hair say Will Ferrell but his deep set eyes and jawline say Malkovich.

Incredible how Kobe threw Gasol under the bus after Game 4. Kobe single handedly blew Game 2 when the Lakers were up by 7 with 2 minutes left. What did his teammates say? Nothing. What dd his teammates think? Plenty.
