Lawrence Taylor’s Super Bowl Ring Sold For $230,401
Lawrence Taylor’s Super Bowl XXV Ring was up for auction earlier this week, and the bidding has finally closed at a whopping $230,401. According to LT, he had given the ring to his son T.J. and did not know that it had gone up for auction, though he had no problem with it since it was a gift to his son.
This also ends Osi Umenyiora’s quest for one million 500,000 Twitter followers. Umenyiora pledged to buy the ring back and have one of the followers present it to Lawrence Taylor if he reached that number, which he reduced. He only came up about 450,000 short in his pursuit of Twitter followers; he should have asked Sarah Phillips for advice.
