Here’s Calvin Johnson Hitting a Batting Practice Home Run at Comerica Park
Says Chris Mortensen:
Calvin Johnson’s batting practice home run at Comerica Park not a surprise to those who watched him at Sandy Creek HS in Atlanta area (Tyrone, GA). Last week, I was sitting on a plane across aisle from a Cubs scout who remembered watching Megatron in a prep baseball game, excited about CJ as a prospect only to be told “forget it. He’ll be playing in the NFL soon enough.” Funny thing is, this Cubs scout and I were both on a flight to Detroit last weekend when we had the conversation.
I wonder what position the 6’6″ 230-pound wide out played. That’s a pretty big power-hitting center fielder.
