yeah, i don’t think any other writer on the site could give the perfect tone for it.

But Duffy has, in my opinion, also improved as a writer, especially when it comes to tone, in the past few years. He is still tremendously aloof at times, as if he is above mingling with us dirty masses down beneath a post, but it seems that he doesn’t take himself nearly as seriously as he used to. Duffy has really nailed several posts in the past few months.
