“Call Me Brady” and the Today Show Should Just About do it For Call Me Maybe
Don’t worry. I think this is just about over. Yesterday, the Harvard baseball team and SMU rowing teams appeared on the Today Show to do their Call Me Maybe dances. Then “Call Me Brady” – a Tom Brady-inspired spoof hit the internet. I don’t see where we can go from here. I guess we just wait for Weird Al’s next album. After that, we’re really done.

Still haven’t heard this song and I still do not intend to change that any time soon.

Is CRM at his “eating strawberries while wearing Babe Ruth’s jersey” portion of his TBL career?

Cool shit…so are they creating a new bowl?

S-E-O! S-E-O!
It looks good to me, especially because it doesn’t fuck up the four-team playoff.
May 18th, 2012 at 12:30 PM
I guess up next would be ‘streaking’ at a Yankees game wearing a flesh colored body suit
May 18th, 2012 at 12:30 PM
If we get a 4-team playoff and a return of New Year’s Day-bowl games I will be fucking thrilled with the new format.
May 18th, 2012 at 12:31 PM
Yes. The plan is to have it on NYD I believe, but TV partners will probably determine that.

i’m still waiting for someone on TBL to pull a Leitch and firebomb another blog with an egregious overuse of the “Royal We” as they step out the door to pursue their other options.

So the Sugar and Fiesta are just getting scraps now?
Good news for Texas, as they likely get a bump up from the Alamo bowl.

I think there was an episode of Coach where Hayden Fox took his Minnesota Eagles to the Alamo Bowl.

I was kind of under the impression that if any of this shit ever really did “it” for you, you’re probably a fucking loser anyways.
May 18th, 2012 at 12:42 PM
I wonder if they will bid that out between the Fiesta, Sugar and Cotton (you know Jerry is getting a piece of this).

I hope he does and I hope its at the expense of the Fiesta Bowl.

eh.
My vote is for Duffy to do it, his high and mighty tone in the mental illness post he crafted would translate pretty well to that kind of “holier than thou, we’re better than you, don’t hate me ‘cuz i made it big” burn post.

Prisco, another writer with a ‘yeah i’m an asshole, big whoop, ya wanna fight about it’ look on his face in his column picture.

See…I like the field they play on at the Fiesta. The stadium is sweet and the games look great on TV.

True. But Duffy has, in my opinion, also improved as a writer, especially when it comes to tone, in the past few years. He is still tremendously aloof at times, as if he is above mingling with us dirty masses down beneath a post, but it seems that he doesn’t take himself nearly as seriously as he used to. Duffy has really nailed several posts in the past few months.
But seeing him leave in such a way still would be pretty entertaining.

I’ve decided CRM has been mailing it in lately because he is working on his 2012 Ol-chimp-ics series.

And I didn’t even start writing it as one. It just sort of happened.
But I really have enjoyed what Duffy has brought to the table recently.
