Video: Dwyane Wade Got In Erik Spoelstra’s Face Because He’s Struggling
Dwyane Wade is struggling mightily tonight and the Heat are down. Wade is currently 1-10 with 2 points and 4 turnovers. Maybe Heat coach Erik Spoelstra said something along the lines of, “Hey, Dwyane, stop sucking before you get me fired” because Wade got in Coach Spo’s face during a third quarter timeout. Miami is unraveling. They are the anti-Oklahoma City right now.

Did anyone just lose their DirecTV signal? It just dropped and had to reset…. working fine now, strange as that hasn’t happened in years.

Good for Spo. Stand up to your whiny, arrogant phony superstar

Quit bitchin’ and take it to the hoop and hope you get fouled. It worked for one championship.

The full video shows Spo getting punked and lowering his eyes, etc. I’ve never seen a player (on a championship caliber team) try to punk his coach like he was another player before. This is GOLD!

Starting, for the first time, to doubt Miami’s chances sans Bosh.

Orenthal D. Wade.

I thought Spo said something to the effect of “say it, don’t spray it” as Wade walked away. Maybe Spo wiping his left ear had me thinking that.

That would be the dramatic thing to read into it. I saw a coach shake his head and basically say I can’t believe this jackass.

“Even I didn’t treat D’Antoni like that.”

That’s a better version of Wade’s bitchness.

he should have.

Tony Parker is flopping all over the court right now.

shocked Clippers only down a few despite a terrible half by CP3. and yes on the Parker flopping. He’s a little BI

Haha you’re going strong with the name calling this evening JMac. You wagering any coin on these games? I got Clippers +11 straight up and to finish up a big 4 team parlay that was Boston +2, Lakers +8, Pacers +2.5 (couldn’t believe this line), and Clippers +11.
May 17th, 2012 at 11:08 PM
Griffin just has the worst footwork.
May 17th, 2012 at 11:17 PM
…and the Clippers promptly get down by 15 points.
May 17th, 2012 at 11:49 PM
Pacers +2.5 (couldn’t believe this line)
same, but couldn’t bring myself to put too much on it. been on a bad stretch and yes i do believe you pick in streaks. just waiting for my 100 on the spurs -800 for the series to deposit

i know no one else does, but i actually feel a little sorry for the heat. they look pathetic, and where is bron?
brother, take the ball, and drive to the hoop like a leviathan. this team has no character/heart, and sure, the pacers are tough, but man, it makes me think that with the definition that some folks have for MVP–most valuable to the best team–that award should have gone to bosh, not LBJ, because one’s gone and they are collapsing while the other drifts around the 3-pt line
May 17th, 2012 at 11:52 PM
that’s probably way too simple a synopsis, and some nba-head will school me, but that’s what my eyes tell me

He did that against the Pistons back in the day in the playoffs. I hate LeBron, but don’t understand why he doesn’t revert back to unstoppable mode. He also doesn’t have the same type of deep team with solid role players that he did with Cleveland.

i sorta get that but dammit, go out like a beast if you’re gonna go out. this way is not working and it’s just inviting more speculation on his leadership/guts

not sure about the rest of you, but that Pistons game years ago is what pisses me off about LeBron…i’ve seen you take over a game ad snatch victory from the jaws of defeat, at the same time setting the bar high for yourself, and now you seem to have no desire to takeover a game late….NONE
May 18th, 2012 at 7:56 AM
Amateur analysis here but it’s like LeBron is too stubborn to just drive the ball every time even though he’s virtually unstoppable. He wants to have a more “complete” game so he hangs around the 3 point line.
\probably a reach

In response to the last few comments, Bosh is definitely not more valuable than Lebron, but you could make a case that the Heat need him more than Wade. Bosh is their only big guy that can score, where Lebron and Wade have too similar games. Also, when is Wade finally going to step up and win a game when Lebron isn’t dominating? I’ve watched them all year and its almost always a let down when Lebron leaves and Wade runs the show. Dude isn’t the same player as in 2006 (can we remove him from the top 5 debate?)
Also, Lebron can’t drive every time guys, once he gets past Granger he has DWest and/or Hibbert waiting for him. He can go full speed ahead a few times, but you have to mix it up or he’ll just end up charging or taking a bad contested shot. Ideally he could drive and dish, but look at his options now that Bosh is gone (Turiaf, Anthony?). Expect him to drive a bit more and work inside more now that the stakes are raised, but that’s not the one cure for the Heat – they need Bosh and someone to hit a 3.

Maybe now, ESPN will finally remove the “Heat Index” off their main NBA page…kind of insulting to the other teams for ESPN to show their favortism for the Heat so blatantly…
