Glad for Kuchar, nice guy. But I was actually pulling for Martin Laird. It always frustrates the golf media lackies when a no-name wins something big. Two words; Craig Perks. If he could, Tim Finchem would have given Rickie Fowler a do-over on that gagged putt on 18. Love the way Finchem or Rickie’s clothes provider so obviously planted those kids in Rickie-wear where the NBC cameras would pick them up.

We need to quit discussing Woods as well. He’s become “some guy” as better athletes with calmer nerves and more focus have overtaken him in droves.

You should just be glad the headline wasn’t “Woods Finishes 40th, Some Guy Named Coochie Wins”.

Honestly though, Woods will be mentioned in every blog post and article until he’s finally actually finished as a golfer, might as well embrace the headline and lede being about the actual event/winner.
