Dan Majerle Caught a Ground-Rule Double at the D-Backs Game
Former Phoenix Suns forward Dan Majerle was in attendance at the Diamondbacks-Giants game Saturday night in Arizona. While innocently devouring a plate of food behind the wall in right-center, Thunder Dan, a man best known for violently dunking the basketball as well as grade-A cougars, alertly caught a ground-rule double in typical showman fashion. His frozen, caveman-like reaction was a true crowd pleaser. Get this man off the Suns bench and in front of a camera at once.

You gotta love Thunder Dan. Those early 90s Suns teams were a lot of fun. Plus, he owned MTV’s Rock and Jock.

I used to love the triple-pump dunks I’d pull off from behind the foul line with Majerle in Bulls v. Lakers on the Genesis. Despite being 16-bit, they had his color right on the button: burnt orange.

somewhere in the internet, there is video of Rod Beck catching a tater bare handed w/o even looking or flinching. It’s uber rad.
