Vontaze Burfict is Saying All the Right Things in Cincinnati
Vontaze Burfict was a menacing linebacker at Arizona State two years ago, and projected to be a Top 10 pick in the 2012 NFL draft. Then success got to his head, his junior year was a debacle, and he essentially soiled himself at the combine in February. Burfict went undrafted, and is now trying to play his way onto the Bengals.
Not being picked, going undrafted I have a big chip on my shoulder and I’m ready to hit somebody.”
Burfict showed up to Bengals camp 15 pounds lighter than he was at the NFL combine – when he ran a turtle-like 5.09 40 – and he’s working out at middle linebacker. [Cincinnati.com]
