Yeah, the checks aren’t bouncing ESPN’s way. They’ve been burned on the Longhorn Network. It may pan out in time, but FSU is nowhere near the fanbase of Texas. And I understand it is how many tvs in a market to get on a cable system, but most cable systems in Texas aren’t even carrying the network. No way FSU should expect a network if it jumps to the Big 12.

Chip Brown, the Orangebloods writer who is rumored to be very close to the Texas football program, floated an interesting scenario this afternoon: In light of the ACC’s $3.6 billion deal with ESPN, why wouldn’t Florida State consider leaving the conference for the Big 12?

This came out two days ago and it wasn’t Chip Brown. The same Chip Brown that enjoys blowing juvenile goats. He is UT’s mouthpiece for football.
