Jimmy Kimmel Tweeted to Recruit Anthony Bennett in Hopes the Forward Will End up at UNLV
Here’s a tweet earlier today by TV host Jimmy Kimmel, lobbying for highly-touted recruit Anthony Bennett to attend UNLV. (Kimmel attended UNLV; it is unclear if he gradated from there.) Kimmel’s so diverse, he can go from giving a speech at the White House Correspondent’s dinner one week, and recruit for a college basketball program the next. That’s talent. Bennett famously passed on Kentucky earlier this week, touching off an angry mob of pitchfork-wielding Wildcat fans who berated the teenager for hours on twitter.
The book on Bennett: Rivals has him as the 7th best player in the Class of 2013. He’s a 6-foot-7, 230 pound wing who can score inside and out, as the video below shows. He’s narrowed his choices to UNLV or Oregon. If the Rebels get him, they might just vault into the preseason Top 10 for next season. If he goes to Oregon, he can dream about making the NIT. Aside from the small handful of sane Kentucky fans that comment here, that fanbase is the worst

If he goes to Oregon, he can dream about playing 2 games then leaving the program.

I get that the calculus on this kid’s decision is a lot different but Eugene >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> Las Vegas. At least when it comes to staying more than three days.

He aint no Craig Ferguson thats for sure, but he’s not as bad as Leno either.
I’d take Ferguson, Fallon, Conan, and then Kimmel.

I, too am glad that Auburn sucks at basketball. Hope they remain where they’re at in football as well.

“attended University of Nevada, Las Vegas for one year before attending Arizona State University for two years without completing a degree.”
Took me eight seconds.

A year off a national title?
May 8th, 2012 at 6:41 PM
That would be impossible without the world ending or time operating in a different manner. Either way they’re now a year off of losing to Arkansas by 24 points, which I will gladly take every year.
