I think I can see a guy running from the cab of that truck, but I can’t tell. hopefully this guy wasn’t hurt/injured. this woman screaming loudly would be great for a horror flick soundbite.

When I hovered over the Venus Williams link, I read
venus-williams-what-i-whore.
May 7th, 2012 at 8:08 AM
Very cool.
/Still doesn’t make up for Chris Martin marrying Gwyneth though.
May 7th, 2012 at 8:12 AM
The train thing is awesome.
I witnessed this once while eating lunch in downtown Kennesaw GA. A truck got hung-up on the tracks and the train barreled through it. Ironically, it made less noise than you’d think – more of a poof than a bang.
Even more irony: it was the day before halloween and guess what was in the truck? That’s right candy – there were snickers bars everywhere.

That Texas runner, Haben Berhe, is definitely Eritrean or Ethiopian.
/Would be cooler if he was Eritrean.
//Shout out East Africa.

Cold Play makes my ears bleed.
May 7th, 2012 at 8:16 AM
Time lapse videos are the best.
Cool. It was overcast in my town Fri night, so I missed this.
That’s a guy with a Ph. D. on the ground.
Shaq. ‘Nuff said.
The frequent fliers who flew too much. A must-read.
To me, the basic idea of pre-pay for a lifetime pass makes lots of sense for the uber-frequent flyer. Selling your companion pass for personal profit is kinda sketchy. AA cancelling the program ’cause they were losing profit is cheesy, but “that’s capitalism”.

He had weight loss PR Campaign charity cause whereby he would have weakly weigh ins called “Cut The Waist.” Everyone scammed the site and voted for charities that were for left wing parties and LBGT concerns. So Ford keeps gaining weight and reporters hurl questions at him about his failed policies as this is their only access. Good times. Suffice to say he is a giant duh-tard of a fat cunt. Fucking suburbs.
First thing he did in office was cut a $60 million vehicle tax and then tried to rid the city of pools, grass cutting in parks, snow removal and trash pickup to afford it. Fuck this guy.
Christmas his wife called the police because he was going to drunk drive his kids to disneyland.
Presently there are 3 ongoing investigations of ethics, concerns, abuse of office and election spending.
May 7th, 2012 at 8:18 AM
Was at a club about a decade ago, when this dude got the shit kicked out of him after calling a few Eritrean women, Ethiopians. Lesson: Don’t get the 2 mixed up.

I hope you were out there in the parking lot picking up all those Snicker from Heavens.

copper thief is shocked, catches on fire
That story is electrifying. When I was in CA, some guys were able to get like 50 miles of transit cable copper wire from a desert line.
May 7th, 2012 at 8:20 AM
Christmas his wife called the police because he was going to drunk drive his kids to disneyland.
Sounds like a wonderful family.

Puyallup man punched into coma after comment about car rims. “I put people to sleep, that’s what I do,” as he left the scene.
reasonable response.
May 7th, 2012 at 8:26 AM
Yikes. Not a proportionate response by any means.
/You can’t tell the difference from their asses because both have epic booties.

Of course it’s the coolest thing Coldplay has ever done. Playing somebody else’s music is the only way Coldplay can even be tolerated much less enjoyed.
May 7th, 2012 at 8:28 AM
Pretty low bar. And not that cool.
May 7th, 2012 at 8:28 AM
From the StarTribune.com column:
“After the scandal and the gawd-awful play and the perpetual pouting of a now 36-year-old man, is “How did Tiger do?” the only question the general public has to offer when it sees a golf item on a sports report?
If you’re in that category, golf doesn’t need you. A couple of points in the TV ratings aren’t worth pandering to the lowest common denominator of golf viewers — the people not moved by the drama of the competition but merely the presence on the leader board of a guy with a great name and a magnificent past.”
Excellent.
May 7th, 2012 at 8:29 AM
Going to take some shit for this, but I don’t mind Coldplay. I thought that was pretty cool.
/Rocked out all weekend to Beastie Boys.
May 7th, 2012 at 8:31 AM
I aw this on Saturday morning. While the cheetah brothers were getting amorous with his wife, stalking her, the husband continues to take pics of it! This guy’s up for husband of the year.
May 7th, 2012 at 8:31 AM
Who? I approve though.
Who? I do not approve, though.
May 7th, 2012 at 8:33 AM
That story is electrifying. When I was in CA, some guys were able to get like 50 miles of transit cable copper wire from a desert line.
!
Assuming this cable is average (I’ll go conservative) 10 gauge copper, it would scale at 30 ft per lb (179 lbs per mile) or almost 9,000 lbs.
May 7th, 2012 at 8:33 AM
Reggie..i read the story…just a bunch of oversensitive eastern canadian douches. Offended by a tshirt. Im sure sousedbergin makes fun of people from nova scotia and newfoundland and the other atlantic provinces
May 7th, 2012 at 8:35 AM
Did anyone catch the new season of “Sherlock” on PBS last night? That sh– is awesome.
May 7th, 2012 at 8:35 AM
Coldplay is okay but they are the whipping boys for many. They got pegged in that Rudd/Rogen scene in 40-Year Old Virigin and perception changed, unfairly.
I just got their last album from the library. Decent enough, but I haven’t felt any of their albums have been transcendent.
May 7th, 2012 at 8:35 AM
They were not the brothers Riggins, we’re they?
May 7th, 2012 at 8:35 AM
I don’t think I can come up with one famous Eritrean. Am I forgetting someone?
May 7th, 2012 at 8:36 AM
Didnt catch up with it yet, v4l..as good as the previous few episodes from last year?
May 7th, 2012 at 8:36 AM
What a jackass, I hope they nail that SOB to the wall and give him the max on a jail sentence.
May 7th, 2012 at 8:38 AM

Yeah, they had to run it on all the newswires in the southwest to try to find them via their method of salvage. I also follow these theft/raw materials/salvage cases when I see them. They never got them. I think this was around 2000-2001. Pre-9/11.
May 7th, 2012 at 8:39 AM
Agree with you A.P. om the t-shirt thing. People need to lighten up. Also, Reusse was on fire with his Tiger column and I totally agree with it. That old man can fire up a great column once in a while.
May 7th, 2012 at 8:40 AM
This guy’s up for husband of the year.
I can’t stop laughing at this.
May 7th, 2012 at 8:40 AM
“I think she’s right between us,” the biologist next to me says. He points his antenna at my feet, which I can’t see in the murky water. Nor can I see the snake, until the slightest movement betrays her location, about a yard away.
/Make like the good shepperd and get the flock out of here.
May 7th, 2012 at 8:42 AM
If last night’s episode was any indication–better than last year. I’m just bummed that there are only 3 episodes. They say it’s because it gets an almost “movie” like treatment at 90 minutes. I just think it’s outstanding stuff
/accents and speed of dialogue drive me batty
//still worth it

Meb Keflezighi is pretty famous. Silver Medal winner for Team USA in 2004 in the Marathon and first American to win the NYC Marathon since 1982.

/There was an Eritrean chick (pretty hot, had a nice balcony) on Survivor a couple seasons ago. But as soon as I heard she was a Spoken Word Poet, I kind of checked out. I think she got knocked out the first week.
May 7th, 2012 at 8:47 AM
Everyone I’ve met has been fucking awesome. Consider this gentleman.
To be fair to the t-shirt they did not approve of my “Abort The Second Coming” or my “Stick Figure Mohammed” shirt either. Sartorially Challenged.
May 7th, 2012 at 8:49 AM
They got pegged in that Rudd/Rogen scene in 40-Year Old Virigin and perception changed, unfairly.
Never saw that movie, yet I still think Cold Play are pretty awful.
I was doing a highlight video for my kids football team and my neighbor suggested Clocks for background music. I looked at him like he had eight heads.

May 7th, 2012 at 8:54 AM
Coldplay’s first major album Parachutes was great and always has been, even it was considerably wussy. Everything since then has been pretty limp dicked crap though, save for a few decent singles. I blame Gwyneth.
May 7th, 2012 at 8:55 AM

Started last night Cleet. And yes, Mr. Cumberbatch is the man. I love Martin Freeman too. His Watson is a perfect complement.
May 7th, 2012 at 8:58 AM
For any body who didn’t see it, do yourself a favor and check out the Lisk joint posted Friday afternoon. Very compelling stuff, especially for those of us with sons playing football.

Speaking of annoying screaming ladies, Claire from Lost was the absolute worst. By far the worst character in that show.

never take photos with Cheetahs
That’s the ultimate example of making lemonade when life hands you lemons. Wife mauled by cheetahs? No worries, just sell the photos to a news outlet.
All you got to do is use your instincts. How do you think a lion knows to tackle a gazelle? It’s written, it’s a code written in his DNA, says, “Tackle the gazelle.” And believe it or not, in every man there’s a code written that says, “Tackle drunk bitches.”

The Devils, when playing 5 on 5 hockey, are probably playing better than any team in the league right now. They are well equipped to go to the Finals.

Kings.
May 7th, 2012 at 9:06 AM
A Devils/Kings matchup could see the longest playoff games in history. The way Quick and Brodeur are playing right now, neither team would score for 300 minutes. And that’s just the first game.
May 7th, 2012 at 9:06 AM
Shout out to CRM, Duffy, Lisk & Hernia – Sunday we had our biggest traffic Sunday since football season ended.

“Until the 2009-2010 fiscal year, Ontario was the only province to have never received equalization payments; in 2009-2010 Ontario will receive 347 million dollars, while Newfoundland, which has received payments since the program’s creation, is now a so-called “have” province, and is now a net contributor and does not receive payments.”

I hope you’re not basing that opinion on what they did to St. Louis. St. Louis has the depth of puddle.
May 7th, 2012 at 9:11 AM
I hope you’re not basing that opinion on what they did to St. Louis. St. Louis has the depth of puddle.
St Louis was the #2 seed in the West for a reason. One of the best puck possession teams in the league during the regular season.
May 7th, 2012 at 9:11 AM
I thought that said “never take photos with Cheetos” at first, and felt it was a perfectly reasonable headline.
May 7th, 2012 at 9:14 AM
And that was the regular season.
It’s about who’s playing well right now.
May 7th, 2012 at 9:14 AM
Really? That’s random. I mean the playoffs were going on, but it’s not like there were any NBA game 7′s or something like that.
May 7th, 2012 at 9:14 AM
That wedge he stuck on the playoff hole was clutch.
Also, apparently McIlroy is Superman. His 3-wood on the playoff hole was 20+ yards past the Fowler and Points drives, almost to the walking path. It was too big; he had to take something off his wedge and let it hang right.
May 7th, 2012 at 9:14 AM
Yea for Rickie!
May 7th, 2012 at 9:15 AM
So you missed the Tribe taking 2 of 3 from the juggernaut Rangers?
Listened to the game yesterday on the way in. Had stopped to check for scores. On FRI beore we left, took the boys down to the Jake gift shop for new hats. I was chiming in on some thoughts in the thread last night.

so the yankees are getting profit sharing from the cardinals, in this case?
May 7th, 2012 at 9:15 AM
It’s about who’s playing well right now.
Kings just knocked out the #1 and #2 seeds in the West in a combined 9 games.
May 7th, 2012 at 9:16 AM
Last time I went camping was 2 summers ago, on a weekend. slept in a tent and did not sleep either nite and woke up sore & tired. My wife wakes up next to me on the last morning, and says “I’m not doing this shit ever again.” About 15 minutes later, the my 2 kids come bounding into camp, having stayed at a friend’s camper down the way, “We love this!”. My wife looks at me and then tells the kids to get lost. lol.
May 7th, 2012 at 9:16 AM
Maybe the West isn’t that good.
May 7th, 2012 at 9:17 AM
It was too big; he had to take something off his wedge and let it hang right.
That 3 Wood was insane — after Rickie hit the #2 shot of the season (behind Bubba’s Masters shot) — I thought Rory was going to stick it.

May 7th, 2012 at 9:19 AM
Saw him on one hole saturday (12?) hit a 380 yard drive to the walking path. People started jumping out of the way and pointing at his ball.
Oh, and it was 311 to carry the bunker, which he did by 15 yards. The ball landed in the rough, carried another 50-60 yards to the walking path in the fairway.
May 7th, 2012 at 9:19 AM
Maybe the West isn’t that good.
The gap has closed somewhat, but the West is still the better conference by a fair margin.
May 7th, 2012 at 9:20 AM

May 7th, 2012 at 9:21 AM
rory is so fucking good with his long clubs, it’s not fair. he hits it so high and so far, it’s mindblowing. and he flew rickie by a good bit and rickie was leading the field in driving distance. my god.

Something to know about the Toronto Star….they “reported” the Chief Of Police in Durham Region went to a hockey game with a loaded gun stashed in his wife’s purse…because a nut job who wanted on council said that it happened. Never happened…cost a big fat amount of tax payers dollars for the Chief to clear his name and the Star would not print a retraction.
Ford is the best thing to happen to Toronto is a long time. Those against him are against common sense, fairness and fiscal responsiblity.

When I worked for Delta in college one summer, I occasionally flew standby to Hawaii on my days off… On the way home one time, I got lucky and put in first class- I drank somewhere around 10 liquor drinks with this cool old dude next to me. It was incredible fun.

May 7th, 2012 at 9:39 AM
By the way, that AAirpass story is kind of messed up- they should have at least given those dudes a chance to stop what the airline deemed “breach of contract” before revoking their passes. I kind of hope they win their lawsuits. Sounds like American was just pissed that some idiots from the past thought $350,000 would be the right price for a lifetime first class ticket.

My step mom has worked for Delta since 1977, and before I turned 23 I had a flight pass card. Since Delta goes by the date of employment in terms of seniority, I was almost always getting the flight I wanted, and most of the time I was flying first class. I was able to fly (for free) to Europe four times, three of which were in first class. It’s a totally different world.

Is this Yardwork?
What is this Yardwork you speak of?

But something happened to the Beasties, and New York. While we were off at college, the goofs had connected with the producer Rick Rubin. … “Licensed to Ill” presented us with a can of question marks. When did they gain access to handguns? When did they start smoking angel dust? When did they start hitting girls? WHAT. (And you could just sample a Led Zeppelin record? That was O.K.?)
Loved the sample of When the Levee Breaks.
May 7th, 2012 at 9:43 AM
Yea that’s incredible, man. I just remembered you were a PTC guy- my wife and I have a lot of friends that are just like you. Hell, some of them even went to work for Delta because they didn’t want to lose the privileges.
May 7th, 2012 at 9:43 AM
What video?
May 7th, 2012 at 9:43 AM
“I put people to sleep, that’s what I do,” as he left the scene.
I hope you meet the tossed salad man in prison.
May 7th, 2012 at 9:46 AM
Trust me, the thought crossed my mind. Having to give up my flight pass card was seriously a sad day.
This video.

The Lord Rubin giveth, and he taketh away.

The Kobb Kounty Krowes thinks he comes in and takes credit where none is due.

For me it was a joke. I always took their lyrics with a sense that they were kidding and never really thought that they actually did these things.
May 7th, 2012 at 9:50 AM
The dude who knocked out the guy for complimenting his rims — his name is Daman Lehman. Cool name bro.
May 7th, 2012 at 9:51 AM
Thanks. Some sloppy catches by those rowers.

//Texas’ womens team actually good.
May 7th, 2012 at 9:52 AM
Did everyone see the Avengers this weekend? Joss Whedon is the shit.

Yeah. I didn’t know anyone who thought they were serious with that stuff. Especially on Ill. It was all a big joke.

and The Ocean.
May 7th, 2012 at 9:56 AM
Seriously, why was this ever in question?
/listened to that album 10+ times this weekend. Not sure why I ever stopped consistently listening to it.
May 7th, 2012 at 9:56 AM
Yes. Very well done. Did you stay for both of the after credit scenes?
May 7th, 2012 at 9:58 AM
Your just trying to make my hangover worse. No one sincerely think this. Excellent trolling good sir. He spent $3 million on a report that he said would cut city waste. Turns out the city was running 99.6 per cent efficient.
May 7th, 2012 at 10:01 AM
So Chopped All-Stars finale. Anyone? Marcus Samuelsson wins. Michael Symon forgets the okra
May 7th, 2012 at 10:02 AM
No I missed the second one. I’m going to go see it again this weekend with my mom and dad so I’ll make sure to stay through the whole credits.
May 7th, 2012 at 10:04 AM
Another scene? Damnit. Great movie. I was actually giddy at points. Felt like a 10 year old watching Transformers the movie.
May 7th, 2012 at 10:04 AM
Yes and this is set up to be a 3 to 4 movie franchise. Agent Hill, played by Coby Smulders who is on HIMYM, will turn I to Wonder Woman on Avengers 2. That’s my prediction.
May 7th, 2012 at 10:05 AM
im sorry, i feel absolutely ZERO sympathy for american airlines after having to fly on them and get treated like a piece of cargo.
i feel more sympathy for nazi’s on the run getting assassinated by the mossad than i do for american airlines getting ripped off because they offered somethign wholly unsustainable.
May 7th, 2012 at 10:07 AM
quote from that…
listen, just playing devil’s advocate here (pun half intended)…if god didn’t make a mistake, then why’d he create a person who’d create white out?

Wonder Woman is a DC product.
May 7th, 2012 at 10:08 AM
Avengers was fantastic.
LOL @ Scum Jr. Fuck the Blues.
May 7th, 2012 at 10:09 AM
Yes.
Movie ends…credits…(scene 1)…the rest of the credits…(scene 2)
Half the theater left after the first scene.
May 7th, 2012 at 10:09 AM
Wonder Woman is DC, not Marvel.

Couldn’t believe he missed that. Never would have guessed he would have left off an ingredient. Marcus is just a machine, having the experience from Iron Chef America helped him out a ton I think.
May 7th, 2012 at 10:15 AM
Wonder Womamn was in The Avengers #9 and #102. Alsohere is a write up about Wonder Woman being an Avenger: http://www.moviehole.net/201136596wonder-woman-may-be-joining-the-avengers
May 7th, 2012 at 10:16 AM
I had to laugh at Penny though and her “I want to build an empire on this network” quote. Puh-lease, woman. Only reason she got past the first round was because Symon forgot an ingredient. I was surprised he did that too. Marcus was rolling.
May 7th, 2012 at 10:18 AM
The Avengers are sitting around a table eating at a dirty Swarmari joint. The crew can be heard laughing as it was shot.
May 7th, 2012 at 10:20 AM
She is the worst. She says she doesn’t know why she got a bad rap on NFNS, it was because she was a bitch. Also, she can’t question my girl Amanda’s pallet, she went over on the saffron, deal with it.
May 7th, 2012 at 10:20 AM
Alan Sepinwall’s Avengers review is really good (and filled with spoilers so only read it if you’ve seen the movie).
May 7th, 2012 at 10:30 AM
Having not seen the movie, I’m just guessing here, but can you really spoil it? I mean, none of the comic book heroes die (Hulk, CA, Thor and IM) Loki is beaten and they set it up for Avengers 2,3,4, and 5, right?
May 7th, 2012 at 10:36 AM
Yes, I think you can.
There is more to the plot than just the comic book heroes didnt die.
May 7th, 2012 at 10:41 AM
Oh puhleeze….. I am not going to feel a bit sorry for college athletes and how hard they have it. If it’s *that* difficult and traumatizing, then just be a regular Joe Student like the rest of us were.
What’s that? Then you can’t be a BMOC? No more accolades? No more reverence from strangers?
Boo fucking hoo.
May 7th, 2012 at 11:02 AM
Avengers, 3D or 2D, worth it?
May 7th, 2012 at 11:14 AM
Saw it in 2D. Really dont see a reason to see it in 3D
May 7th, 2012 at 11:35 AM
Saw it in 3D, but I want to see it again in 2D. 3D only works on a few movies. This was not one of them.
